This shoot was organized as part of the Arknights Creator Support Project, revolving around the theme 'Sur le lac Lune Vivante'. To match this aesthetic, we deliberately scouted a coastal beach. Cosplaying Eyjafjalla's swimsuit design, the visual tone centered on warm pinks. The wig was an orange-tinted pastel pink, styled with coiled white sheep horns on both sides and pinned with a petite pink blossom at the crown, doing full justice to her signature character traits.

The wardrobe centered on a pink checkered off-shoulder one-piece swimsuit overlaid with tiered sheer chiffon and ruffle frills. While it looked weightless and airy, shooting on the open coast was quite a challenge—gusts constantly whipped the sheer fabric across my face and around my arms. We relied on numerous hidden bobby pins to tame the hemline. The black geometric garter on my leg was custom-crafted from rigid material, slightly chafing during walks, but I kept it on throughout to preserve silhouette accuracy. Wanting to project a relaxed, organic coastal mood, I opted to go barefoot in the sand. The sand was scorching under the midday sun and turned briskly cold toward dusk; balancing on unstable granules clinging to my soles proved tricky.

The staff prop caused the biggest headache of the entire set. It was tall, topped with crimson antlers and two delicate pink flowers. Because it was carved from solid wood, the high center of gravity made it wobbled continuously on the soft beach. For the single-leg balancing pose in Photo 1, I swayed through multiple takes before steadying myself. Switching to Photos 2 and 3—perching atop weathered reef boulders with the staff planted into the sand—allowed me to finally ease into a relaxed cadence.

The coastal weather tested our adaptability. Photo 1 was captured at twilight when ambient lighting was dim and cool; our lighting assistant filled shadows with a warm-toned auxiliary light to revive skin tones and fabric textures. In contrast, Photos 2 and 3 were shot under blazing midday sun with harsh water glare. Waves continuously threatened to drench the train while sitting on the rocks, forcing us to grab frames in rapid bursts between receding tides. The behind-the-scenes 'baa-baa' moments capture me spacing out on the rocks, fixing my wig, and lunging to catch the staff before the sea breeze knocked it down.

As for the easter egg mentioned at the end of the post, it refers to that ultra-blurry snapshot resembling an off-screen phone capture. A sudden rain squall struck just as we were packing up; amid the frantic scramble to shield camera gear, an accidental misconfigured shot fired. Finding the chaotic color wash surprisingly cinematic, we decided to keep it as a lighthearted bonus blooper.

While the shoot came with physical discomforts—mosquito bites all over my legs and sand blowing into my eyes—bringing Arknights Eyjafjalla's Swimsuit cosplay to life against real surf and sand made every drop of effort truly worthwhile.
