[Requiem cosplay] Neverness to Everness: Tomato Little Devil, Red-and-Black Styling with Black Stockings

This shoot features the styling of Requiem from Neverness to Everness. Prior to the session, I had many creative ideas regarding her character design—especially the red, black, and white palette, which carries immense visual impact. When the costume arrived, what captivated me most was the sharply divided black-and-white split wig along with the little red heart hairpin on the side. Once fully suited up and looking into the mirror, her signature blend of rebellious edge and playful cheekiness came to life instantly.

Regarding wardrobe nuances, the red-and-black color-blocked jacket flatters the silhouette remarkably, while the white collared shirt, black necktie, and pleated skirt form a classic, modified academy-style ensemble. My favorite piece remains the sheer Black stockings paired with red-and-black cross-adorned platform creepers, which visually elongated my leg lines for striking on-camera presence. For photography, thoughtful framing and posture design are paramount. We staged a European-style set anchored by a tufted silver-and-gold sofa. I tried reclining sideways across the couch; from the camera's perspective, this angle showcased leg contours to their best advantage, while the contrast between the red skirt and Black stockings lent a mature, alluring flair. Holding the ketchup bottle served as a distinctive prop—resonating with her delightfully dangerous yet adorable personality, transforming her into a little devil playing with ketchup. Combined with black cat motifs, the overarching atmosphere felt thoroughly realized.

For hair and makeup, beyond the crimson lenses, I painted a red heart emblem onto my cheek and coordinated with red, gray, and blue color-blocked nail art—both faithful to the 2D aesthetic and adding chromatic pop to the frame. Adjusting shooting angles, particularly pointing the toes and curating delicate hand placements, was refined through deliberate trial and error to establish a polished wasteland red-and-black aesthetic. Post-processing maintained high contrast to make the crimsons pop vividly while keeping the Black stockings sleek and defined. Embodying a character imbued with lively charm and cryptic intrigue made for a fantastic shooting journey. Furthermore, I deliberately arranged the draping of the skirt hem and jacket across the sofa so it looked effortless and organic. Shooting such a specific ensemble tests physical endurance; biting the ketchup bottle prop produced a uniquely fascinating dynamic, not only evoking her personality but also naturally guiding the viewer's gaze toward facial expressions and lip contours. Overall, I am deeply satisfied with this body of work.
