I'm quite satisfied with the accuracy of this black and white dress and giant star hat, and it took a long time to style the wig's double braids to achieve that fluffy look. To replicate Marisa's casual yet playful vibe around the shrine, I specially chose this small wooded scene right next to the Hakurei Shrine. The hydrangeas were in full bloom, and paired with the magic wand prop in hand, the atmosphere was maxed out.
For the makeup, I used warm-toned eyeshadow and a bit of pearlescent lip glaze, wanting to express the character's confident and slightly proud expression. During the shoot, we used the natural light leaking through the gaps in the trees, combined with a little fill light, which beautifully highlighted the lace layers and texture of the outfit. Although there were some bugs on set, seeing the final light and shadow effects along with the costume details all beautifully presented made it feel completely worth it. Next time I have the chance, I'd love to try shooting some more dynamic shots in front of the shrine's Torii gate. For now, I'll share this set of flower field photography, hoping it matches that slightly mischievous magician in everyone's hearts.
