The convention photos from last week's Coastline Comic Con D1 have finally been sorted out. To cosplay Eyjafjalla from Arknights well, the early preparation work was actually quite tedious. From wig trimming to makeup design, every single detail needed repeated adjustments. Since Little Sheep's setting is that she suffered hearing impairment due to Oripathy infection, I deliberately tried to imitate that slightly dazed yet soft and cute feeling in my gaze and posture.

Let's talk about the overall makeup styling this time. A light brown short wig was chosen, and a ring-shaped ahoge was deliberately left on top of the head, fixed with transparent fishing line so it wouldn't easily deform after walking around the convention all day. The hair on both sides was styled with slight outward curls, and some small braids were woven in to increase the fluffy layering. To highlight the anime style, expressive purple-pink contact lenses were used in the eye makeup, emphasizing the lower eyelid extension, with relatively long brushed eyelashes, coupled with a large area of pink blush and glossy lip tint, bringing out the whole facial atmosphere.

In terms of clothing, it's an overall white halterneck sleeveless top with lace trim at the neckline. Tied at the chest is a light blue bow, with a small golden bell hanging below. The white plush kemonomimi girl ears and the huge light blue bow on the head are the finishing touches, which can strongly reinforce the character's traits.

The temperature on the day of Coastline Comic Con wasn't low, and there were many people inside the venue. To avoid the crowds and find better lighting, I simply hid inside a car to take these convention photos. The black leather seats inside the car actually make a great background, as they can make the white clothes look more textured. The natural light filtering through the car windows was very soft, paired with a slightly upward shooting angle, making the facial contours appear more three-dimensional. To express Little Sheep's cuteness, I tried half-clenching my fists in front of my chest, making a cat-paw pose, and a slightly head-tilted V-sign gesture.

Actually, shooting convention photos is quite a test of physical strength. To maintain the best condition of the outfit and wig, constant touch-ups and styling adjustments were needed. Many friends asked me how the fluffy feel of the wig is achieved, and I'd like to share that here. Besides daily maintenance, using hair wax to grab texture and then fixing it with styling spray are indispensable steps. For the top ahoge, it's not recommended to hard-mold it directly with hairspray; supporting it with fishing line or fine wire looks much more natural. The color of the contact lenses must match the character's eye color so they won't look abrupt in front of the lens.

This time cosplaying Eyjafjalla, the overall experience was still very good. Although the space inside the car was limited and movements couldn't be fully stretched, many satisfying close-up shots were captured, and the overall effect met expectations. If I go to a convention next time, I'll consider bringing some more complete small props.
