I finally brought my fully modified Vector to this convention, completing this Requiem equipment set at last. To recreate that cute yet fierce tactical girl vibe, I put a lot of thought into the props, makeup, and styling beforehand. First off, the tactical submachine gun in my hand features a tan and black two-tone paint job paired with a red dot sight; it's quite heavy, but holding it to strike poses at the convention is absolute eye-catching gold. The texture of this gun looks amazing through the lens, and to hold it steady, I even practiced my gun-holding posture for a few days—otherwise, your arms genuinely get sore after shooting for a while. When holding the gun, your hands must be steady and your gaze fierce, but your facial expression needs to maintain that innocent vibe, which is actually quite a test of core strength.

The makeup and styling of the head are the core focus for accuracy. The black-and-white split wig was trimmed for a long time to ensure the arcs of the bangs and sideburns look natural. That characteristic ahoge was also specially fixed to prevent it from drooping while walking around the venue. The red heart-shaped hair accessory and the hairpin with cross-stitching details are highly recognizable little details of the character, paired with red contact lenses and reddish eyeshadow, which enlarge the eyes while bringing out a hint of yandere and dangerous aura. The base makeup is relatively fair, with blush applied under the eyes to enhance the 2D transparency. The eyeliner was intentionally elongated a bit with slightly drooping corners, creating a look that is somewhat world-weary yet clueless.

In terms of clothing, the red jacket has a relatively loose cut, which just nicely contrasts with the form-fitting white shirt underneath. The thin black long bowtie at the collar and the small heart and triangle embroideries on the shirt have all been faithfully restored. The black pleated skirt on the lower body features added flower and heart charms; as you walk, the skirt hem and charms sway along, maximizing the detail level. Since the character wears black stockings, I also prepared black stockings with just the right level of skin-translucency, paired with platform shoes to visually elongate the leg lines and bring the overall proportions closer to the official illustration. The length of the skirt was also adjusted several times to ensure convenience when walking and crouching for photos at the convention, while maintaining accuracy to the setting.

The world setting of Neverness to Everness itself is very interesting, and the gap moe of Requiem is what attracts me the most. Watching her hold heavy firepower while keeping a clueless and innocent gaze—this strong sense of contrast makes it exceptionally easy to capture great photos. While moving around the venue carrying the gun, several photographers ran over to ask if they could take convention photos. Actually, when cosplaying such characters with tactical elements, the most important thing is maintaining the stability of the props and the sharpness of the movements so they don't look limp. Some photographers would ask me to do tactical movements, like a tactical squat or aiming with the gun; at times like these, that oversized jacket and the heavy prop gun required great coordination. I hope to meet more fellow fans at upcoming conventions to exchange tactical movements and shooting angles.
