With the first-semester timetable packed to the brim, I could only squeeze out fleeting moments between classes to press the shutter. Racing against endless deadlines keeps me on my toes, yet lying in bed at night often leaves me daydreaming from boredom. So I decided to curate these fitting photos taken spontaneously during breaks, hoping to connect and exchange tips with fellow ACG enthusiasts.
This time, I tried on the standard outfits for both Ganyu and Keqing in one go. The Ganyu look boasts tremendous detail: light-blue hair paired with red-and-black horns, and an oversized golden bell at the neckline with substantial heft. Over the black bodysuit drapes a white skirt overlay featuring gold-stamped foil patterns, with strappy ties enhancing overall layering. I especially adore the detached blue sleeves; the patterns on the back catch the light with gorgeous texture. To coordinate, I wore opaque Black stockings with red knotted cords tied around the ankles; angling my body slightly while standing and cinching the waist makes proportions look much more flattering. Sitting on the rug, stretching both legs forward with pointed insteps beautifully showcases the leg lines.
The Keqing ensemble leans into violet-blue tones, with the wig styled into her signature cat-ear buns adorned with blossoms and pearls. The rigid golden armor vambraces on the cuffs offer a great tactile feel. The dress features multi-tiered patchwork with an eye-catching white blossom at the waist. For this look, I paired it with Black stockings accented with golden totem prints, crossing my legs while seated to showcase the gilded patterns in full display.
Since these were taken in my room during study breaks or late evenings using a tripod, lighting was kept simple with a basic ring fill light to illuminate the white wall backdrop and the plush texture of the rug. Covering my face with cute stickers was partly because doing full-face makeup and expression management alone felt too tedious, and partly to keep everyone focused on the wardrobe, wig, and overall posture presentation. For characters that expose plenty of leg and arm lines, posture awareness is essential: side-angle poses with raised arms naturally elongate the neck and shoulder lines while showing off the back contour.
After trying on both looks, each silhouette has its distinct charm, clearly crafted with immense attention to detail. Since I finally have a free evening, I'm posting these as a casual log.
