[Olga Marie Animusphere cosplay] Fate/Grand Order Weekend: Sunshine and Burgers Make the Best Pair

Since returning from FGO Fes in Japan, I've spent the past few days sorting through a mountain of raw photos and editing, finally finding the time to post the shots taken at FGO Fes. Having a blast playing for two days at the event left my voice raspy and my legs exhausted, but the atmosphere on-site was incredible. The joy of hanging out with fellow fans wiped away all the fatigue.

I spent quite a bit of effort fine-tuning this Olga Marie gear before setting out. The headpiece design itself carries considerable presence—two long white horns plus stacked blue and pink flowers on the brim give the entire look a fantasy feel without seeming flimsy, and wearing it in person felt very secure. The white lace top and black laced corset girdle showed great texture under sunlight, bringing out stitching details and fabric layers in natural light. Paired with white stockings and platform sandals during shooting, it fit the character's style while allowing easy movement. Since it was quite sunny during the Outdoor location shoot, this cotton-blend lace fabric was actually much more breathable than expected, keeping me from getting stuffy and sweaty.

We chose a park with rose bushes for the shooting site, and the photographer was adept at capturing those relaxed, everyday moments. As you can see in the photos, we specially prepared burgers, fries, and an elegant tea set as props. One second I was holding a teacup on the bench trying to look graceful, and the next second I was munching on a burger—this casual setup made the shooting atmosphere remarkably relaxed. I'm personally most satisfied with the shots sitting on the bench eating fries while looking at the camera; the composition captured the white lace top, black corset girdle, and leg lines perfectly, with the flower bush backdrop making the overall image look very clean and vibrant.

Talking about the Japan Fes experience, it really was far more than just taking photos. The doujin booths and stage events in the venue were filled everywhere with people who love this franchise. Walking through the crowd in this outfit felt hot at times, but there were always fellow fans happily shouting out the character's name to greet or ask for photos. Being recognized gave a real sense of accomplishment. Honestly though, roaming for two consecutive days plus long hours of Outdoor location shooting with full makeup was exhausting; taking off makeup back at the hotel at night made my body feel like it was falling apart, but mentally it was immensely fulfilling.

Thinking about how there will still be events like this next year makes me eagerly look forward to gathering with friends again. This Cosplay photography didn't use complicated studio lighting setups, relying entirely on natural light in the outdoor park. During post-processing, we intentionally preserved the semi-translucency of the lace without over-smoothing skin. The overall goal was to present a feel that is faithful to the character yet grounded in real-life atmosphere. The thrill of cosplay often lies right here—putting on the outfit, picking pleasant weather and surroundings, and briefly becoming the character you love brings pure, direct joy. Although the process involves hard work and exhaustion, seeing the final photos makes everything feel completely worth it.
