The reflective effect of Orphie's battle suit under the lens is truly stunning. A lot of effort was put into the lighting setup for this shoot; the main light combined with rim lighting in the back completely brought out the glossy leather texture, giving the frame a stronger three-dimensional feel. In terms of clothing, the black glossy leather minidress features geometric color blocking on the chest that heavily tests pattern making. To achieve the most perfect form-fitting effect, some size-tightening modifications were made before the shoot. The yellow tactical tubes on the arms and the metal rings on the chest instantly maxed out the mechanical feel of the entire equipment.
The weapon props in hand were the highlight of this preparation: a red-and-black mechanical greatsword, quite substantial in size and holding a solid weight in hand. That single-handed lifting posture in photo 1 actually tests arm strength quite a bit. To capture the combination of strength and gentleness, I deliberately designed some physical stretching sensations in the action, driving the overall posture through the twisting of the shoulders and waist. The gun-holding poses in photos 2 and 4 also involved repeatedly practicing the twisting angle of the wrists, striving to look more capable and sharp.
In terms of makeup and styling, the bright orange wig was trimmed with highly layered bangs and long side hair, while the green circle lenses not only boast high color saturation but also brought out a cold, sharp feel. The red cat-whisker markings on the cheeks in photo 4 were deliberately added as a playful element; paired with that wink, the character's personality instantly came to life, shifting from a single-minded coldness to carrying a touch of mischief.
The leg styling is also a highlight of the overall coordination: semi-transparent black Stockings paired with white tactical cross straps. The position and tightness of the straps required extremely patient and repeated adjustments; they needed to present the three-dimensional feel of the leg muscles without leaving red marks or looking bulky during long shooting sessions. This tiny detail is crucial for the overall visual aesthetic. The black lace-up chunky-heeled short boots on the feet also visually elongated the proportions.
The artificial cherry blossom branches arranged in the background provided a touch of soft aura in the dark-toned environment, neutralizing the toughness of the leather clothing. What this entire photo set aims to express is precisely this atmosphere combining hardcore machinery with a girlish feel. During the shoot, many movements required core strength engagement, especially the single-leg jumping airborne posture in photo 3. To recreate this authentic combat state, it was adjusted and fine-tuned over and over again. Because I frequently practice dance usually, I was able to exercise moderate freedom in posture control, making the movements look lightweight yet full of power. Cooperation with the photographer this time was exceptionally seamless; we communicated in advance about the desired composition and light-and-shadow atmosphere. For instance, in the large scene of photo 1, a slightly lower camera angle was deliberately chosen to better capture the leg lines and overall slender feel. Every single shot was continuously attempted and adjusted on-site by us, and the final presented effect reached my inner expectations, which can be considered a perfect account for the preparation and practice during this period.
