【Belle cosplay】Zenless Zone Zero Polaris Lucid Fitting & Rant - Image 1

My experience with this Polaris Lucid Cosplay fitting had huge discrepancies from start to finish. Starting with the tailoring: it completely lacks the cinched-waist cut seen on the mannequin display. Wearing it feels like a straight barrel with a rather mediocre silhouette. The sleeves aren't nearly as puffed as shown in the sample photos, looking totally plain. The gap between the final product and the promotional sample is staggering.

Going from top to bottom: the hat is far too small. Wigs already add bulk, so an undersized cap can't grip properly and makes your head look disproportionately large. The worst part is the collar. Real-world humans don't have the impossibly slender, long necks drawn in illustrations; mine isn't short, yet this collar reaches right up to my chin. It should have a fastening mechanism, but searching the package yielded no tightening piece, leaving it gaping open. I'll definitely have to take it to a tailor to cut down more than half of its height. The top's stitching is coarse. To simulate a layered look, a stuffy synthetic lining is stitched under the plaid fabric, making it breathlessly hot while riding up awkwardly when walking. The skirt quality is poor—just a flimsy single layer of fabric where the pleats flare out instantly with any movement. The chest badge and other accessories are raw 3D prints that look and feel cheap, hardly justifying the 300+ RMB price tag. In this Cosplay costume review, I wouldn't recommend this shop, though I'm keeping this Cosplay outfit to modify the collar by a few centimeters to make it wearable.
