[Herta cosplay] Honkai: Star Rail – Phantasm of the Herta Puppets

I finally found time to sort through the Herta group shoot from last month. The set for these photos was built collaboratively by everyone in our group. During pre-shoot preparations, we gathered to unpack props, lay out the blue backdrop fabric, and adjust for the floor's subtle angles. We carefully arranged the dark blue artificial flowers and red cords across the floor piece by piece, and carrying that stone pillar prop took quite a bit of effort—exhausting, but full of fun. The lighting setup was fascinating, dominated by cool tones with an eerie blue ambiance; to highlight Herta's commanding presence, the photographer selected several tilted and high-angle perspectives. The Herta costume I wore features intricate details, especially the thigh-high black stockings and leg strap designs, which demanded rigorous control over posture and body lines. To capture an imposing, looking-down aura, finding the exact center of gravity was essential. The Puppet Herta cosplayers below were also wonderfully cooperative, adjusting their positions together; particularly for the sequence reaching upward, expressions and angles were adjusted multiple times. Because the overall color tone was unified, during post-processing for Photo 5, we experimented with a chromatic aberration filter with slight glitch and overexposure effects, which unexpectedly complemented the petals and red cords on the floor to evoke an ethereal atmosphere. Although holding taut, demanding poses for extended periods was tiring, seeing the entire photo set turn out smoothly—enhanced by the on-set light and shadow effects and the balanced, layered composition against the deep blue background—made all our hard work worthwhile. We also did extensive homework in advance regarding wardrobe styling and prop placement; subtle details like the drape direction of the skirt hem, the fit of the stockings, and the routing path of the red cords were tested repeatedly. Huge thanks to our photographer's exquisite technique and on-set guidance, which made the entire shoot flow seamlessly.
