[Burnice cosplay] The flames of Zenless Zone Zero, Street punk style cool vibes maxed out

This Zenless Zone Zero Burnice cosplay Makeup test was mainly to see the combined effect of the makeup and costume first. Going through the entire look from head to toe, every single step took quite a lot of thought.

First is the head styling: blonde twintails with two oversized golden hair accessories—this wig was truly today's massive project. To secure that position, I hid steel combs inside the wig and repeatedly styled it with clips and hairspray to achieve those fluffy yet naturally disheveled twintails. Resting the black cat-eye sunglasses on top of my head nicely exposes the eyes, instantly bringing out that confident and slightly roguish feel.

For the makeup, I pursued that cool and spunky charm. The amber colored contacts are very eye-catching; paired with winged cat eyeliner, I deliberately added a reddish-brown smudge on the lower eyelid to make the gaze look more narrative. For lip makeup, I chose a deep matte red lip glaze, which boosts the aura while color-coordinating with the red scarf around the neck. After applying the base makeup to the whole face, highlighter brightens the cheeks, and contouring deepens the facial contours, making the three-dimensionality much stronger than everyday makeup.

The clothing details are the core of this Makeup test. This black leather biker jacket was chosen in glossy faux-leather with moderate suppleness; wearing it gives a very solid weight and a great sense of security. With the collar popped up, the neckline looks very slender. Hand-sewn metal rivets on the chest and sleeves, along with zippers and large silver buttons, reflect a tough metallic luster under indoor lighting, maxing out the punk elements.

The black cropped inner top features a silver-gray totem print on the chest, creating great layering when worn under the leather jacket. The red neck scarf is lightly tied around the neck, partially covering the collarbones while just revealing the neckline, injecting a pop of bright color into the all-black and gold pairing, making the overall color scheme instantly rich and coordinated in Street punk style.

During shooting, I didn't think about overly complex poses; following the feel of the outfit, I struck a few casual and slightly provocative gestures, such as holding the edge of the sunglasses or lightly tapping my chin with a finger. The focus of this Makeup test was to feel the coordination of the entire look and the charm of the character; although I didn't bring all the combat props in the end, the foundational look is already established. Doing cosplay is actually a process of continuous trial and error; just like this test, adjusting the wig angle and eyeliner thickness countless times until finding the most comfortable state. Although it might not reach one hundred percent perfection, I have done my best to capture the character's temperament. Wearing this leather jacket all afternoon was sweltering, but that feeling of fully immersing into the character was truly exhilarating.
