This time, the custom design for Robin incorporates some of my own understanding on top of restoring the character's charm. The hemline uses a large amount of ice-blue and white gradient tulle, combined with multi-layered ruffle designs, creating a light, cloud-like flowing sensation when walking. The black ring headpiece and small white flowers on top of my head are custom handmade. To match Robin's avian traits, I specially added small feather decorations by my ears and on my shoulders. Although it's not completely the original setting, I hope to present a gentle atmosphere of "If I can stop one heart from breaking."
In terms of makeup, the focus is on the red blending of the eye makeup, paired with light blue colored contacts to give the gaze more of a bird's spirituality and translucency. During the shoot, utilizing the black reflective material of the booth not only enhanced the extension of the space but also made the layers of the hemline and the tulle sheen stand out even more. The white stockings with high heels and the off-the-shoulder design balance elegance with 2D dreaminess.
Every time I do this outfit, it takes a lot of time to organize the curves of the hair, especially that slightly curled blue-purple gradient long hair, which needs to be styled to look fluffy yet neat. The lighting on-site during this convention photography session was quite complex, but after minor post-processing adjustments, the overall tone maintained a clean, cool, yet warm palette. I hope everyone can feel the details I poured into this cosplay—it is not just about wearing the costume, but about capturing and expressing the character's temperament.
