[Izumi Sagiri Cosplay] Everyday Life in Eromanga Sensei, Pink Loungewear and White Stockings

The theme of this shoot is Izumi Sagiri from Eromanga Sensei. I chose this classic pink ruffled loungewear set and white over-the-knee stockings, paired with a silvery-white straight long wig and pink bow hair accessories. The shooting location was a bedroom filled with a lived-in feel, where wooden bookshelves, plush toys, and a red backpack naturally recreated Sagiri's shut-in lifestyle. The frontal composition of Photo 1 sitting on the bed is actually my favorite shot, as the gaze and stance perfectly captured that quiet yet slightly innocent feeling. The reaching gesture in Photo 2 was a last-minute interactive addition to showcase Sagiri's occasional mischievous side, but overall, Photo 1 possessed better completeness and visual balance, making it the choice for the cover.

During the shoot, we deliberately used warm yellow side-backlight to give the edges of hair strands a soft rim light, while rendering the texture of the pink clothes very tender. The slight indentations and folds of the over-the-knee stockings showed naturally under the light, neither overly exaggerated nor lacking in creating a lazy Loungewear cosplay atmosphere. For makeup, we focused on soft pink shading for eyeshadow and blush, paired with light-colored contact lenses to make the gaze look more translucent. I was initially worried that the white wig might look unnatural, but after trimming and fluffing it up, complemented by hair clips on both sides, it actually added a dose of cuteness.

The green frog plushie and white laptop on the bed were actually gathered by the prop team on short notice, but they unexpectedly matched Sagiri's room setting wonderfully. Throughout the shoot, I stayed relaxed on the bed because Sagiri herself is a shy and introverted character; overly deliberate movements would lose her authentic flavor. The photographer guided me in adjusting hand positions—Photo 1 has both hands placed naturally beside my legs, while Photo 2 features one arm reaching forward—testing both multiple times to find the most natural angle. The whole shoot took about two hours; staying still in a seated position was actually the most exhausting part, as the skirt hem and stockings creased easily, requiring re-adjustments each time.

Regarding props, the pink bow tie and sleeve ruffles were hand-stitched. To recreate that soft and fluffy texture from the original work, a cotton blend fabric with a slight drape was selected. The white over-the-knee socks were custom-made in length to sit right at mid-thigh—neither sliding down nor squeezing too tightly—so the exposed skin ratio when seated was just right. The wig utilized high-temperature fiber; although prone to tangling, maintaining its fluffiness required combing for a long time before shooting, followed by setting spray to fix the bangs and sides.

Regarding the style of this shoot, I personally lean toward natural-light "slice-of-life cosplay," avoiding excessive studio lighting or retouching to preserve skin texture and garment folds, making the character look like she lives in the real world. The composition of Photo 1 places the subject in the lower-middle portion of the frame, leaving room above for bookshelves and plushies as background, establishing the environment without stealing the spotlight. Furthermore, the cover image has no watermark or collage stitching—clean and crisp, keeping the visual focus entirely on the subject.

As a Guangzhou model, I regularly take on many Anime cosplay style shoots, but the character Sagiri holds a special sense of familiarity for me. Her introverted nature—reluctant to go out and immersed in her own world—closely mirrors my private self. Thus, during this shoot, I was mostly "being myself" rather than performing intentionally. When the final images came out, both color tones and demeanor met expectations. Although this outfit looks very comfortable, careful attention was required during shooting to prevent exposure and maintain skirt positioning. Fortunately, thorough preparations ensured everything went smoothly.
