[The Shorekeeper cosplay] Wuthering Waves Shorekeeper Guangzhou Firefly ACG Expo Convention Photos

For this Guangzhou Firefly ACG Expo, I cosplayed The Shorekeeper from Wuthering Waves. Because I couldn't reserve a studio, I simply found an outdoor area with lush tropical plants outside the convention venue, utilizing natural light and my own reflector for the shoot. The layers of this outfit are extremely rich, with white and blue alternating tulle skirts stacked in multiple tiers. To present the fluffiness and drape of the skirt hem, I carefully ironed each layer of tulle with a garment steamer before heading out, along with that long, deep-blue glossy ribbon featuring a subtle glitter that gives it a gorgeous sheen when moving in the sunlight. Regarding the Blue wig, to fit the character's long hair styling, I trimmed the bangs in advance and styled them. The butterfly metal wire hairpiece on top of the head needed to be firmly secured to both sides of the Blue wig cap with multiple bobby pins, and then a light blue tulle veil was laid out along the head contour—this step required a lot of patience, as a slight mistake would make the edges look abrupt. For the makeup part, I chose pink-purple colored contacts paired with a pink-purple eyeshadow, layering fine glitter at the inner corners and under the eyes, so that in outdoor high-light environments, the eye makeup looks translucent when the camera zooms in. The blue-green gem of the necklace and the chest decoration details were also checked multiple times to ensure the texture and color were error-free. The temperature on that day was actually quite high; shooting outdoors wearing so many layers of tulle was quite a challenge to physical stamina. The skirt hem is very long, and to prevent the long ribbons from tangling together, every time I adjusted my posture, I needed to smooth and flatten the blue ribbons in advance. During the shoot, I simply took off my shoes and stepped barefoot on a white plush rug, which unexpectedly added a natural, relaxed at-home vibe. The photographer is skilled at capturing dynamics, thus capturing those moments of crossed legs and a hand lightly caressing the veil, making the overall composition quite comfortable. At the convention venue, I met many fellow fans who love this work; everyone was exceptionally enthusiastic when recognizing the character, and some friends even came over for group photos. Personally, I've always valued costume restoration and detail presentation when doing Anime cosplay. This outfit went through a long period of refinement from material selection to pattern-making. Although the tulle fabric is prone to snagging and required carefulness while walking and resting inside the venue, seeing the moment the final photos came out made all the hard work completely worth it. The green plants of the outdoor location formed a wonderful color contrast with the blue-and-white dress, making the character's skin tone look more translucent.
