The conceptual theme for this official set was defined as an aqua-blue summer atmosphere. To align with this Blue theme, we selected an outdoor pool venue framed by white architecture and vivid cyan tiles, timing the session for the late afternoon when natural light reaches its purest clarity. The wig was cut with soft layers, styling the fringe with cross clips and pink cord knot accents. To recreate the character's signature azure eyes, I wore high-pigment blue contact lenses over a clean, luminous base foundation, focusing primarily on natural skin texture under open daylight.
The wardrobe centered on a Sailor suit cosplay design. The top was crafted from a semi-sheer, ultra-light fabric that cast a subtle, translucent skin reveal under sunlight and aquatic reflections, tailored with short sleeves and a classic blue-and-white striped sailor collar. Harmonizing with the palette, a bright yellow kerchief and crimson tie clip anchored the chest. The lower silhouette featured a white pleated skirt bordered by blue hem stripes, paired with over-the-knee White stockings with delicate blue cuffs. This sheer stocking material blows out easily under harsh outdoor sunlight, so we continuously modulated exposure compensation to preserve natural chiaroscuro gradients and the hosiery's delicate weave.
Throughout the shoot, we explored varied poses to bring out the glistening ripples of the pool. Sitting along the poolside required adjusting my center of gravity so the White stockings popped sharply against the blue tiled pool floor. Later, we stepped directly into the water; keeping the pleated hem billowing underwater demanded constant bodily control. The refraction of water droplets and sunlight across the fabric created rich optical tiers, though the soaked top clung tightly to the body, requiring extra poise to keep gestures looking open and relaxed. The wet stockings deepened in tone and grew heavy against the legs, requiring swift wringing after exiting the pool so they wouldn't compromise subsequent takes.
A sequence holding sparklers was captured right as daylight began to soften. Once lit, steady hand control was essential to paint light trails and glowing spark bursts across the exposure. Although stray splashes hit the lens a few times, pausing the shoot for quick wipe-downs, the candid captures of airborne water droplets turned out wonderfully. In post-production, color grading lowered overall contrast while lifting brightness to achieve a clean, airy, translucent Blue theme aesthetic. This shoot offered invaluable experience in dynamic outdoor water photography, particularly in balancing ambient sun with pool glints. That wraps up this production diary.
