The tailoring of this Aemeath costume is very distinctive, with the white-black-gold palette running throughout, exuding a cool yet techwear sci-fi aura. The black cutouts on the chest and waist trimmed in gold, along with the black choker around the neck, provide rich layered textures. To capture a clean, translucent texture, a softbox was used as the primary key light in the studio, complemented by rim lighting from the side to give the white garment a graceful drape. The hair features long pink twin-tails adorned with white-and-pink feather ornaments at the crown, with a smooth, natural gradient transition toward the ends.
In terms of styling, to enhance leg contours, over-the-knee White stockings boots were paired with golden ring thigh garters; the boots snugly hug the calves, noticeably elongating leg proportions. For poses, the first shot with one leg lifted alongside arm gestures dynamically highlights body proportions and outfit movement; the second shot features a steady standing pose with the staff, whose lighting effect casts a crisp cool-toned glow, with prop details and blue handle accents faithfully recreating the Wuthering Waves game setting.
There were a few minor challenges during shooting. For instance, balancing on one leg in the first pose was not easy, requiring over a dozen takes to locate the most natural center of gravity. For makeup, amber-toned contact lenses were paired with reddish-brown eyeshadow and pink lips, making the gaze look much more vibrant. Camera angles were constantly adjusted throughout the shoot to prevent glare on the white dress. Post-processing focused on balancing highlights and shadows without heavy alterations, mainly aiming to present the original design aesthetic and ethereal lightness of the outfit. This studio shoot took around three hours from start to finish, with pose transitions and lighting adjustments taking up most of the time, yet the final visual impact was very striking. Given the intricate details of the original costume, this was a deeply dedicated cosplay endeavor, and I hope everyone can feel this character's unique charm from the world of Wuthering Waves.
