I've finally finished sorting through this Cheshire - White Seaside Melody bridal set today. The moment I first saw this outfit, I was struck by its remarkable design—the intricate pure white lace adorned with delicate pale blue butterflies is unmistakably iconic. To recreate that sweet, expectant charm of the character, I opted for a semi-matte foundation paired with large pale blue circle lenses and subtly downturned eyeliner, striving to craft a dreamy, doll-like look while keeping my gaze vibrant and expressive.

The shoot took place in a professional studio, where photographer Lin Hongmin managed the lighting with absolute precision. Because the gown itself is pure white, inadequate or harsh lighting could easily wash out the details. We used softboxes and high-key lighting to seamlessly blend the bridal whites with the pale background tones while preserving every delicate lace edge, avoiding any flat, overexposed whiteouts. We also incorporated studio props, such as a bed draped in white gauze and a crystal chandelier in the background, to evoke an utterly dreamy atmosphere. The seated pose in the second photo is one of my favorite perspectives—paired with the butterflies scattered across the flowing skirt hem and the White stockings, it elongates the silhouette beautifully. The first photo is a classic straight-on portrait, clearly highlighting the sapphire collar around my neck and the refined neckline details.

The materials of this dress were quite demanding to manage, particularly the voluminous petticoat underneath. Although it looks airy and weightless, moving around the studio was genuinely exhausting, requiring me to carefully monitor my movements so as not to ruin the natural drape of the gown. Still, every bit of effort was worth it to achieve the best presentation. Throughout the shoot, I focused on capturing Cheshire's mischievous yet tenderly expectant mood, ensuring that both my body language and eye contact felt sweet and engaging. I'm thrilled to finally release this collection.

I also poured substantial effort into post-processing. A major focus was carefully balancing the white levels—ensuring the whites remained pure and translucent while letting the blue of the sapphires and butterflies pop without clashing. Catchlights in the eyes were subtly adjusted to brighten the pupils, lending that refined 2D visual fidelity. Pre-shoot preparation was equally meticulous: because white garments are unforgiving on camera, the wig had to be styled lock by lock, using ample hairspray on the bangs to preserve that light, airy fringe throughout the session. The fit around the bustline and neckline was crucial as well, maintaining proper shape without slipping when raising my arms, which required careful adjustments to exude a delicate yet confident presence.

At its heart, this photoshoot centers on anticipation and reunion. Cheshire's genuine feelings shine through her wide, innocent gaze and naturally welcoming posture. I channeled this emotion directly into the camera; while holding the seated pose in the second shot was tiring, it proved to be the most gracefully poised moment, evoking the feeling of sitting on the floor and softly calling out to someone special. Rather than dramatic expressions, I adore this focused, subtly smug expression, and I hope viewers can feel the sincerity woven into every shot.
