When shooting this set of Kasugano Sora cosplay photos, the main effort was focused on arranging the outfit and styling the hair. The silver-white long straight hair needed to be carefully styled into twin tails and secured with white bows. The white long dress has quite a few ruffles on the shoulders and buttons down the front; to avoid deformation, I adjusted them multiple times during the shoot. I chose to take a Mirror selfie at home because this environment makes it easier to show a natural, relaxed state. I first laid out the small rug and adjusted the fill light to the appropriate brightness. Paired with a dark gray plush teddy bear, it can enhance the texture of the picture. I chose three poses: one sitting to show the side profile lines, one sitting cross-legged, and one standing while gently lifting the hem of the dress to show the drape of the dress and the visual effect of the white socks. Although it's a simple selfie, the control of the poses also referenced the character's quiet and introverted traits. For makeup, I used a relatively light and clear base makeup and a little red eyeshadow, hoping to match the character's temperament. The figure cabinet and light-colored curtains in the room's background perfectly enriched the picture's background. This Mirror selfie recording method is quite free; without needing to pose deliberately, it can also perfectly capture the mood of the shoot at that time. I made fine adjustments to the shooting details, such as the angle of the sock creases and the position of the wig bangs. Regarding the understanding of the character's personality, Kasugano Sora in the story not only has a delicate side but also her own independent thoughts; this contrast makes her come alive. Therefore, during the shoot, I tried to use soft light to reflect her traits, choosing a room with a warm fill light turned on to make it look even more tranquil. Before shooting, I smoothed out every fold on the dress according to the reference picture because the white fabric reflects light easily, and the drape of the tall socks directly affects the visual effect of the legs. I am very glad that I found the kind of White stockings I always wanted to get this time; the texture fits perfectly, and it won't turn into a dead white color in front of the lens due to reflection. Although there was no direct replica of classic 2D scenes, this selfie atmosphere perfectly conveyed that tranquil feeling. After the final photos came out, I felt that all the careful preparation beforehand was worth it. Recording the moment of dressing up as Kasugano Sora through the lens in this way, although the posing actions are limited, is enough to leave beautiful memories. This feeling is very meaningful.
