This Momoyodou proprietress look for Kawawa Shizuko from Blue Archive was a very solid attempt from makeup test to the actual shoot.

The costume design blends very typical modified Japanese-style elements. The upper body features a cross-collar pink kimono style, with white ruffles and pink laces at the neckline and chest acting as transitions for layering. The wideness of the sleeves highly recreates the visual effect in the game; the cuffs are patched with traditional blue and red patterns, combined with the white maid apron decoration, giving the overall look both the gentleness of Yamato Nadeshiko and a clear anime cute style.

The pink glowing halo on top of my head is one of the souls of this entire look. Paired with the bow hair accessory and the small golden bells tied below, it jingles and sways slightly when walking around the convention site, providing a great sense of dynamism. The wooden tray in my hand was a key highlight I specifically added during prop preparation; the three-colored dango on it and the assorted pastries in the wooden box, though just still life during the on-site shoot, instantly brought the Momoyodou business atmosphere to the max when paired with the presentation of the lights. During the shooting process, to recreate the character's well-behaved yet lively temperament, I paid special attention to keeping my back straight and adjusting the angle of my head.

This shoot took place at an indoor anime convention, where the lighting was quite messy. However, the photographer, Dami, was excellent at finding angles, blurring out the somewhat distracting overhead lights into background highlights, retaining the sense of environment while emphasizing the human subject. He had me stand half-turned while holding the tray, raising my hands slightly higher, capturing the shot from a higher, vertically angled perspective, which simultaneously accommodated the facial charm, upper body clothing details, and the lines of the white stockings and skirt hem.

In terms of makeup and styling, this time focused on emphasizing the vividness of the eye makeup and lip makeup. Paired with the brown curly hair styling, it made the overall look appear very energetic, even carrying a bit of that slightly cute yet confident proprietress temperament from the anime. Although the convention venue was crowded with people coming and going and the surroundings were quite noisy during the shoot, focusing in front of the lens and recreating the character's commercial smile and approachability made the whole process incredibly enjoyable.

Compared to simply striking a pretty pose, I value cooperation with the photographer much more. Because there were many props, how to position the hands and how to align the tray with my line of sight went through several rounds of adjustments before finding a comfortable and natural look. I feel that the final texture of this entire set of photos truly does justice to this meticulously prepared outfit.

Although this Momoyodou uniform looks like lightweight fabric, the obi (waistband) and laces actually use fairly crisp materials to ensure the pleats. Combined with the gold trim on the skirt hem, wearing it imposes a very clear physical restriction on the body. Yet, it is precisely because of this restriction that it better embodies that dignified, gentle, yet slightly awkward cuteness when the character moves. During the shoot, I tried some signature actions, such as leaning forward slightly while holding the wooden tray, or turning my head half-sideways like in the picture; the light variations and the feeling of the flying skirt hem brought by each pose were completely different.

For post-production color grading, we uniformly adopted a low-contrast Japanese soft-light style, making the pink halo on the head, the clashing colors of the hair accessory, and the colors of the wagashi in hand more saturated, while the gray-white tone of the background was intentionally preserved, separating the person from the background perfectly. This kind of convention photography/field photo lies in the fact that although the environment is somewhat uncontrollable, the real light, shadow, and ground reflections bring a very natural vividness, rather than the calculated perfection of a studio shoot.

To match this lively yet gentle character image, I deliberately avoided making my expression control too stiff or artificial, instead keeping my gaze relaxed and gentle. Shooting this set was an excellent overall experience; not only did I get to try on the exquisite character costume, but I could also experience this game character's state in daily life through posing. The hospitality of Momoyodou is probably just this feeling of carefully preparing desserts and then welcoming every guest with a smile.
