This time, the shoot chose an Ethereal little white dress style in a light-yellow doll-collar dress embodying a Lolita style. The overall cut leans towards a loose A-line silhouette, and the fabric texture is extremely lightweight, revealing a soft feel under natural light. The neckline is a classic round design with subtle ruffles along the edge, and a light blue wide ribbon is tied around the waist, which not only defines the waistline but also adds visual layering. To match the overall styling, I paired it with a White tights outfit consisting of translucent white knee-high socks and dark brown platform loafers; the black color of the soles contrasted with the brown upper, making the lower body's visual center of gravity much more stable.
In terms of makeup and hair, to present a sweet atmosphere, I deliberately kept the blunt bangs and styled double buns on both sides, accessorizing with ribbons featuring white bows. The base makeup emphasized a translucent feel, with heavier blush concentrated on the apples of the cheeks, which, paired with a hydrated lip gloss, made the complexion look much more vibrant.
The setup of the shooting scene was extremely thoughtful and can be said to be the key to this set of finished photos. We used a glass greenhouse as the background, laying out a large amount of green moss carpets and artificial lawns. The white metal bench was the main prop, flanked by a huge white plush rabbit doll and red mushroom decorations. To enhance the fairytale feel, some cotton was scattered around to simulate clouds, along with some hanging white flower strings. During the shoot, I continuously held a white plush rabbit toy with a blue lace scarf, which became a great interactive prop.
In terms of action design, I tried a variety of poses. The first set was sitting on the bench, closing eyes and rubbing eyes with hands to create a sleepy, lazy feel, while using the bench railing and nearby plants as foreground occlusion. The second set was kneeling on the grass, holding the small rabbit up to my face with both hands, using a telephoto lens to compress the space so the visual focus concentrated on the face and the doll in hand. The third set was sitting on the bench looking up, with a pair of white feather wings attached to the back, which, combined with the backlight effect of the sunlight, made the picture even more ethereal. The final set was lying on the ground covered with cotton and pillows, using a overhead top-down angle to cross and raise the legs, which not only showcased the details of the socks and shoes but also made the composition more vivid.
When communicating with the photographer, we both agreed that the scattering of natural light among the plants best embodies the lightness of the dress. When setting up the scene, to create varying depths of green layers, we adjusted the distribution of moss and turf. During the shoot, to capture the soft afternoon light, I constantly adjusted my center of gravity and kept my body stretched out, especially for the pose kneeling in the grass, which required core strength to make the skirt hem present a natural bell-shaped structure. The small rabbit prop in hand was not only a decoration but also a great gaze guide; when I looked down at it or pressed it against my cheek, the emotion presented in the lens was extremely vivid. This outfit didn't have complex designs, but it was exquisite in details, such as the micro-translucent texture on the socks, which added a bit of haziness under backlight. The makeup was minimized as much as possible; besides emphasizing blush and lip color, the eye makeup used only earth-tone bases to avoid stealing the focus of the overall styling. The entire shooting process felt more like a relaxed garden afternoon tea; although I lay on the ground for a long time, seeing every frame in the finished photos looking like a postcard made it all totally worth it.
