Lesson 1 of the cultivation dream: Forgive the wig without sideburns. The most intuitive challenge of this styling is the handling of the wig; lacking sideburns really tests the fullness of the head shape, but it also happens to leave ample display space for hair accessories. I matched cyan-green horn-shaped hair ornaments on both sides of the top of my head, dotted a green diamond-shaped mark right in the center of my forehead, and paired it with cool blue contact lenses and red-toned eye makeup, instantly maximizing the aura of a cultivator in the overall styling. The wig itself is light blue and medium-long, with smooth hair texture that doesn't tangle easily, making it very hassle-free to manage.
The cut is super good, and it can truly adjust to fit the human body. When I first got it in my hands, I could feel that the waist was nipped in very naturally, and the arc of the skirt hem was just right. The tailoring of the upper body not only highlights the figure, but doesn't feel tight when moving around. The sleeves are wide fairy-sleeve designs with very well-handled inner linings, avoiding any bulky look when worn, and instead adding a sense of lightness. This kind of cut is extremely friendly for cosers who want to showcase a slender figure, making it exceptionally comfortable and free whether posing or walking around.
The fabric selection is very appropriate; it flutters up as soon as the wind blows. The outer layer is a translucent light-gauze material, and the inner layer is a white base skirt, presenting distinct layering. The chest is spliced with dark blue fabric, and the golden cloud and water ripple embroidery on it is exquisite, presenting a sparkling texture when light hits it. The fabric of the skirt hem has a great drape, fluttering with the wind when walking, bringing out that ethereal, fairy-like vibe of cultivation. The lower body is paired with white-based tights outlined with blue lines, plus white platform high heels, which not only modify the leg shape but also make the overall visual effect more slender.
The accessories are all made in a very three-dimensional way with great attention to detail. The huge gold-and-silver dual-colored butterfly decoration on the chest is truly the finishing touch; a pink gemstone is embedded in the center, and blue-green gradient tassels hang below, gently swaying with movements. The arms are matched with cyan-green ribbons and bracers, and multiple strands of blue translucent light gauze hang from the waist and skirt hem, making the layering of the entire outfit even richer. Today's shoot also prepared a blue translucent butterfly mask; the half-masked feel not only increases the sense of mystery, but also photographs exceptionally well with the wig.
The venue setup used a light blue backdrop cloth, coupled with curtains featuring calligraphy characters and wooden shelf props, maxing out the overall atmosphere. Overhead lighting was deliberately used during lighting setup to give the clothing material and tassel shadows more dimension. When shooting, holding the mask in one hand and making a peace sign with the other hand, or slightly raising one leg, can all showcase the agility of this outfit very well. Although standing for a long time was a bit tiring, being able to present a satisfactory result made me genuinely happy.
