[Honkai Impact 3rd Elysia Cosplay] Holding Flowers in the Mirror and White Roses, Looking Back at Where You and I Began

Doing this Honkai Impact 3rd Elysia Cosplay was truly a special attempt for me. Before the shoot, I kept thinking about how to design this concept so that it captures her unique aura while also conveying a sense of storytelling through the imagery. So during the studio shoot, I specifically chosen an aged vintage bronze mirror and a large bouquet of pure white roses as key props. The purity of the white roses and the reflection in the mirror nicely focused the composition's visual center on the face and upper body, creating a subtle feel of gazing into the mirror while connecting with the world outside.

Elysia's pink wig features a highly recognizable short style. Her signature tuft of sticking-up hair on top needed to be styled with a natural curve, while the front bangs had to be softened slightly. This preserved the character's characteristic vividness under the lens without appearing stiff. Regarding the costume, the upper body design combining a white base with black-and-purple panelling added rich depth to the overall look. The neckline, shoulder armor, and delicate metal ornaments on the chest showed exceptional texture under high-definition studio lenses. The dark purple trousers on the lower half, combined with the large purple pleated skirt overlay on the hip, extended the body proportions and provided greater freedom of motion.

For light and shadow control, I intentionally chose a cooler purple-pink tone for the main atmosphere. Combined with the white decorative birdcage in the background and softly blurred flowers, it created a dreamy yet slightly cool environment. This color palette heavily tests color balancing in post-production: it requires blending the pink hair seamlessly into the purple surroundings without looking out of place, while making the white roses pop so the overall image doesn't turn dull or dark.

As for posing, although the mirror and bouquet were fairly large, I tried to keep my arms looking light and relaxed rather than strained. Because Elysia's aura combines ethereal grace with playful warmth, overly rigid poses would look stiff, while overly exaggerated moves would lose her innate elegance. So when the shutter clicked, I let my gaze drift slightly into the distance beyond the mirror, as if reminiscing about the story of "where you and I began." This is actually a crucial element we often ponder in anime cosplay—merely dressed like the character is far from enough; you must communicate with the character through posture and expressions, striving to feel her emotions in that exact moment.

Looking back on the whole process—from pre-production, adjusting the costume and wig, to repeatedly tweaking light and angles on set—doing this Honkai Impact 3rd Elysia Cosplay photoshoot was completely worth it. Although the mirror and flower props were quite heavy, seeing the final images with their soft, quiet, yet powerful impact made all the fatigue disappear. I hope these photographs capture the emotional bond spanning reality and fiction, letting everyone see not just a recreation of her attire, but a genuine connection with her spirit and expression.
