This Honkai Impact 3rd Elysia Cosplay photoshoot mainly presents the design of the Shimmering Poem form.
My first impression is that this outfit flatters the figure very well; the cinched waist cut paired with a large skirt hem visually enhances the proportions. The chest features a deep V design, which, combined with the semi-transparent white tulle shawl on the outside, doesn't look too revealing but instead adds a touch of ethereal elegance. The purple flower decorations at the neckline and the necklace around the neck are masterfully crafted parts, looking incredibly delicate. I especially love that gold-and-purple inverted triangle pendant, which adds a bit of sharp lining to the dreamy pink-and-white color palette.
As for hair accessories, the veil isn't a heavy type of tulle, but has a slight sheen, flowing very elegantly beside the body. The chain rhinestones across the forehead reflect delicate sparkles under the lights. Additionally, those long white gloves add a sense of formality and elegance to the character. During the shoot, I communicated with the photographer for a long time, wanting to present the character's innocence, elegance, and slight playfulness. So for the poses, we designed scenes like holding desserts, the moment of playing with a small mirror in hand, and lifting an arm to showcase the layers of the skirt hem.
In particular, that white bird prop, when placed in my hand, brings a sense of motion to the overall frame; even when just looking at a static image, it feels imbued with vitality. The setting arrangement was very meticulous; besides a massive amount of floral designs, the white plush carpet on the floor and the golden candlesticks all reinforce that classical, fairytale temperament. The range of movement when wearing this kind of multi-layered skirt cannot be too large, as you have to be careful not to snag the tulle. However, after putting on the white stockings and high heels, paired with the bows on the shoes, I am still very satisfied with the overall completion. In fact, for a set of cosplay from casting to shooting, what recreates the character best is often not just the clothes, but the state during the shoot and the cooperation of light and shadow.
The warm white light used this time was distributed very evenly, making the skin tone look healthy and radiant without washing out the colors of the makeup. The combination of pink hair strands with purple floral ornaments, along with translucent light purple colored contacts, makes the gaze look soft yet with a glimmer of lively agility. The color tone of the character Elysia is very fresh, so the post-processing mainly unified the softness of the tones without doing too much exaggerated handling. Since the fabric of the skirt hem itself has a sheen, as long as the light finds the right angle, it can present a shimmering effect without any extra filters. As long as you put on this outfit and step into that scene, it's very easy to get into character. The use of props is also quite meticulous—when holding the dessert tray, how the fingers grip the back of the tray so as to not block the frame, and when holding up the white dove, the arc of the arm must be natural and not stiff. These minor details are the keys to determining whether the image looks vivid and natural. During shooting breaks, I would also adjust the position of the veil in front of the mirror, ensuring the drape of each piece of tulle is just right to avoid looking messy. When wearing fabrics with this kind of lustrous sheen, one needs to be careful to avoid leaving fingerprints, so on-set we usually wear gloves or handle them with extreme care. The sense of lightness presented by the entire set is exactly the experience I most want to bring to the audience. I am very happy to have completed this performance.
