This time I cosplayed Flower Reimu. The red and white shrine maiden outfit with layered ruffled hems is truly perfect for spinning in the breeze. Holding the purification rod in hand, I specially chose this shrine torii gate scene under natural light, wanting to capture that casual and agile feeling of Reimu in her daily life in Gensokyo. The shide (paper streamers) on the prop were folded by hand to restore the original design's details as much as possible. Although holding the long rod required controlling my balance, it actually made the movements look more natural. The red and white colors of the costume formed a comfortable contrast between the green trees and vermilion pillars. In post-processing, the highlights were slightly turned down to preserve the original texture of the fabric. Every time I put on this outfit, I unconsciously straighten my back; perhaps this is the aura brought by the character. The raw photos themselves have a great atmosphere, and I hope to convey that sense of summer relaxation and mystery belonging to Touhou Project.
