This time, from wig trimming to the restoration of clothing and accessories for Cifera's styling, it took nearly two weeks in total. To ensure the quality of the final photos, most of the early energy was spent studying the details.
First, let's talk about the clothing part that everyone cares about most. What tests texture the most in this outfit is the black tight leather jacket. After getting my hands on it, I found that the original fabric's reflectivity was too high. To get closer to that high-end matte feel of the original artwork during shooting, I manually re-stitched and reinforced the gaps of the leather jacket and specially applied a layer of matte agent. The deep-V design is a big test of body shape, but it really highlights the character's sexiness. The two blue-purple hemispherical decorations on the shoulders are my most satisfied part; acrylic hemispheres were painted with multiple layers of transparent color paint, which can refract a very beautiful light-transmitting feel when illuminated. The golden leg armor and boots are very heavy; because they need to fit the leg shape, putting them on and taking them off requires a lot of effort. During the shooting, in order to be able to squat down, the waist and core muscles were working the entire time, and after a few sets of movements, I was truly drenched in sweat.
For the wig part, the ready-made wig I originally bought had a forehead that was too thick and heavy. I re-trimmed the bangs into wispy hair sticking close to the face, and thickened the sideburns on both sides, which can visually make the face look smaller. Two low ponytails were tied in the back, paired with a brown hood with cat ears, instantly giving the person that quirky temperament. The golden accessories on the hood and the blue fluff on the inside of the cat ears achieved restoration as much as possible in details. To match the blue eyes and the overall color scheme, I intensified the red smudging at the outer corners of the eyes in the makeup, and chose a glossy peach-colored lipstick, so that the expression would look very vivid in close-up shots.
The environment setup was put together by me and my photography partner. To highlight the theme of "hidden among treasures", we specially laid a red-and-blue patterned carpet with intricate designs, placed a vintage sofa next to it, and a golden bird statue. To increase the richness of the frame, some gold coins and gemstones were also scattered around. However, because the ambient lighting was relatively mixed, we repeatedly adjusted the angles of the top light and key light, focusing on darkening the background while letting the character and metal armor have highlight reflections.
In terms of action design, you can't just stand there blankly. Since she's a cat-ear thief, she needs to have that clever, guarded, and slightly provocative feel. The squatting posture in the first picture was shot many times: the right hand is suspended empty in mid-air, the left hand supports the ground, and the center of gravity is pressed onto the right leg, which can naturally showcase the lines of the thighs and waist. For the second one, I chose a half-kneeling posture, slightly lifting my head to look at the lens, with my hand supporting the edge of the hood, and the light and shadow hitting right on the jawline. There is a picture where I am holding a sapphire prop in my hand and gesturing at the lens; this action is especially suitable for showing the sparkle of the treasure.
The most impressive thing during the shooting process was that because the leather jacket is completely non-breathable, and studio lighting made it particularly hot, I had to touch up my makeup several times in between. However, looking at Cifera's unique cunningness being restored bit by bit on the screen, the fatigue of staying up late sewing buttons and trimming wigs in the early stages all vanished into thin air. There are still many saved photos from different angles in this set, which I will slowly organize and share with everyone.
