This set of Sigrika's gear took a lot of effort from the wig to the accessories, especially that orange twin-tail braided hair. To restore the fluffiness and curvature in the game, I repeatedly adjusted the position of the clips, and finally used hairspray to hold that iconic silhouette. The costume's purple and white color-blocking is paired with golden geometric patterns. The upper body is an off-shoulder short-cut design, combined with a fringed hem and a semi-sheer shawl, making the overall layering very strong. However, the fabrics easily catch on each other when walking, so I paid special attention to the draping direction of the skirt hem when posing. The spiral tail at the back is the soul of this look. It has a built-in bendable skeleton that can adjust its bending angle according to the pose, maintaining a natural curve whether crouching, sitting, or standing. The footwear part features high-heeled sandal boots combined with diamond-shaped metallic pieces on the leg guards. Although my ankles got a bit sore after standing for a long time during the shoot, I pushed through and wore them all day for the character's proportions.
The weather at this Firefly ACG Expo was great, with plenty of outdoor light, making the captured colors look exceptionally translucent, especially the complementary colors of purple and orange, which look highly photogenic under the sun. I tried crouching, sitting, and dynamic candid captures of single-leg leaping; that light and slightly playful feeling perfectly matched the character's temperament. However, due to the heavy foot traffic at the convention site, we specifically moved to the lawn and stone pillar areas outside the venue to find clean backgrounds and avoid messy passersby, giving the final photos a more exclusive feel. Actually, after finishing a casual cosplay set every time, the happiest part is not the final retouched photos, but those processes of discussing poses, adjusting props with the photography partner during breaks, or even clicking the shutter dozens more times just to wait for a gust of wind. Although the character Sigrika is not considered mainstream popular, her colors and design details are truly enduring. I hope everyone can feel my dedication when restoring her through these photos.
