This official Cosplay photoshoot of Blanc the White Rabbit from Goddess of Victory: Nikke underwent a complete refining process from initial planning to final picture release. Because the character design features distinct "White Rabbit" elements alongside a black, white, and gold color tone, my team and I put considerable thought into outfit selection and set construction.
First, let's talk about the texture of this outfit. The main attire adopts a black-and-white color-blocking design; the upper body stand-up collar features white ruffled edging, blending traditional costume softness with crisp tailored sharpness. Most eye-catching is the oversized black coat, featuring fantastic sleeve drape that conveys a commanding presence. Large areas of golden traditional pattern prints adorn the lower sleeves and skirt hem; these golden prints reflect light brightly, adding immense luxury and nobility to the overall look. The coat cuffs feature black elastic cinching, which gives the voluminous garment a crisp, defined structure.
Regarding the hairstyle, silver-white long hair was styled into double buns on both sides of the crown. The hair strands were adjusted slightly so the buns resembled rabbit ears, which, paired with a 3D black bow hair ornament, perfectly echoed her "White Rabbit" nickname. For makeup, attention focused on eye coloration, using pink contact lenses combined with red eyeliner to enhance facial expression depth without undermining character demeanor, aligning her aura closely with her personality.
The scene for this shoot was also rich in atmosphere. Instead of a plain studio backdrop, we constructed a practical set with a miniature Japanese-style teahouse vibe. Artificial turf covered the floor, complemented by natural wood bench seating to evoke a cozy outdoor feel. Behind the scene stood wooden lattice screens draped with artwork featuring traditional motifs—koi fish, cranes, folding fans, and red-and-white Daruma dolls, each meticulously detailed. To the left rested a red-and-white Japanese paper umbrella, and even the ceramic tea set on the small wooden table was thoughtfully placed. Combined together, these props instantly filled the frame with immersive Japanese-style photography atmosphere.
Outfit-wise, the lower half incorporated a Black tights outfit design paired with black flats. Black tights excel at balancing visual weight between upper and lower body, especially when wearing heavy outer coats in cosplay. Since the coat itself is quite voluminous, overly complex lower garments would appear bulky; however, the sheen and slim silhouette of black tights elongated leg lines gracefully. Paired with a legs-crossed seated pose, it nicely demonstrated the character's elegance and sensuality. This combination created a clean effect in the final photoshoot, avoiding distracting from the black-and-gold coat above.
Posing during the shoot involved sitting sideways on the wooden bench, holding a delicate white teacup in the right hand to simulate a moment of tea tasting, while the left hand rested naturally by my side. This relaxed body language combined with the tea set accurately presented the character's serene state within this specific setting. The photographer used softboxes paired with reflectors, highlighting the golden print reflections on the black coat brightly while maintaining smooth facial complexion and clear 3D facial contours.
The set design for this shoot was conceptualized and physically built by our team, creating an intensely immersive atmosphere within a limited space. Every attempt to portray a character serves as a test of character comprehension and execution across hair, makeup, and costume. Although filming was hardworking, seeing the final imagery rendered all early preparation well worth the effort, and I'm deeply grateful for the solid support from my teammates.
