This time I'm shooting Plana, the girl with a highly memorable presence in Blue Archive. To highly recreate this look, a lot of effort was first put into the wig. The silver-white long hair needs to remain smooth and draping, without any messy stray hairs. Since it is long hair falling naturally over the shoulders, the headband on top of the head and that iconic red semi-ring structure must firmly fit the styled positions, while making a natural layered look with the sidelocks on both sides without blocking the line of sight—this was a substantial test for the wig stylist's craftsmanship.

For the costume this time, a sailor uniform style alternating between black and blue was chosen. The white of the neckerchief forms a strong visual contrast with the black of the coat. The loose, long black trench coat worn on top is actually quite a challenge for body proportions; if not handled well, it can easily make one look shorter. Therefore, when wearing it, special attention was paid to the drop point of the coat's shoulders. The black collar with a metal ring at the neck is the finishing touch of the styling, outlining that characteristic mechanical and cynical sense unique to the character. The clothing material selected was a relatively solid-textured fabric; although shooting inside the warm cafe was a bit stuffy, it guaranteed the visual drape and crispness of the overcoat.

The pairing of the black tights outfit and shoes was actually tried with two options during the shoot. When wearing open-toed high heels, the overall sense of coldness and sharpness was more prominent; as in the first photo, that sitting posture of lightly pinching the skirt hem can beautifully display the leg lines wrapped in black tights. Combined with the slightly casual sitting posture and lazy gaze, the character's cool and detached feel is instantly maxed out. On the other hand, after switching back to the dark brown thick-soled loafers, the temperament underwent a subtle change, as if carrying more of an everyday student vibe. During the actual shooting process, the photographer suggested that I use more side-sitting and side-glance angles to showcase the fluid motion of the long hair. The action in Figure 2 of dangling legs while holding an iced drink, coupled with the details of the black short socks, actually heavily tested dynamic snapshots.

The venue was chosen at a landscape cafe seat on a high floor of a shopping mall in a busy commercial district, with the bustling city night view and interlocking greenery outside the window. The shooting time was specially selected during the twilight blue hour, utilizing the contrast between the French windows and the indoor warm and cool light sources to create that translucent yet slightly lonely atmosphere. The photographer utilized the reflection of the window glass on-site to hit a cool-colored edge light; this high-contrast visual effect is perfect for the combination of white hair and black clothes, emphasizing the cool-toned atmosphere we wanted for this Cosplay photography. The iced coffee on the table served as a great prop, directly solving the awkwardness of not knowing where to put my hands and naturally integrating into the frame's narrative.

Regarding the expression of the character's attitude, Plana herself is a very quiet, even somewhat silent existence. Therefore, I barely made any intentional smiles throughout the entire shoot, maintaining a steady gaze, slight side-glances, or lowered eyelids most of the time. This expression without too much emotion is actually the hardest to control, requiring slight adjustments to the chin angle to avoid facial stiffness. Meanwhile, during post-production editing, the authentic texture of the skin was preserved without excessive skin smoothing, allowing the character's exquisite yet natural state to be presented as much as possible. Although the entire shoot was re-taken multiple times due to the complex hairstyle and adjustments of some body movements, the final result perfectly fitting the scene was highly satisfying. It was a truly unforgettable Anime cosplay experience.
