This release features a Genshin Impact Lynette Cosplay photoshoot by the Seaside with a White piano. The entire scene was set on an open-air elevated platform near the edge of a cliff, featuring a weathered White piano with the vast azure sea in the background. In fact, preparing for this set of photos took over a month from conception to shooting. In the early stages, we agonized over location scouting—it had to fit Lynette's cooler color palette while providing a textured, stationary prop. Ultimately, we chose this White piano by the Seaside as the primary prop; marked by traces of time, its peeling paint textures formed an intriguing contrast with the blue-and-white outfit. The sea breeze was very strong on shooting day, which was both a blessing and a challenge. On the upside, the sheer tulle of the skirt and the cyan ribbon in my hand billowed beautifully in the wind, creating extremely natural candid captures; the downside was that the skirt hem kept flipping completely up, requiring constant smoothing. To ensure shooting efficiency as well as safety, the one-legged balancing poses were only shot for a few dozen frames before switching to more secure postures, as the platform had no guardrails along its edge. The shoes were light green high heels with long lace-up straps; I specifically mention this because putting them on and taking them off took considerable time, and standing on one foot on the round platform put immense strain on my ankles. For hair and makeup, the silvery-white wig, animal ears, and star glitter on my cheek, paired with the blue-green rose on my chest, harmonized beautifully with the Seaside blue-and-white background. Since the costume is predominantly white with multiple layers, direct sunlight by the Seaside could easily blow it out into flat, crushed whites; during the shoot, reflector boards were used to balance the ambient light, doing our best to preserve the patterns and lace texture of the garment. This costume is rich in details—for example, the sleeves are two-piece translucent lace, and the corset girdle has intricate patterns, making the overall blue-and-white palette look exceptionally crystalline and sheer. The greatest variable in outdoor shoots is always the weather and lighting. Because the sunlight was overly harsh, we actually waited for intervals when clouds obscured the sun to shoot this set, as diffuse lighting is ideal for capturing such radiant, translucent photos. Throughout the shoot, we constantly captured candid moments of the ribbon floating in the air; the one selected for the cover is a more extended pose, perfectly displaying the leg lines and the layers of the skirt hem. For post-processing, I chose cooler tones and lower saturation, focusing on preserving the blue hues of the sky and ocean to make the overall atmosphere more ethereal. This photo set really challenged various uncontrollable factors of outdoor photography, but the final outcome was delightful—the overall high-key blue-and-white style suits Lynette's character traits wonderfully.
