This time, I shot Kasugano Sora's home pajama style. Since the setting is that summer in Yosuga no Sora, I simply chose a traditional Japanese tatami room as the location. I not only brought in an old CRT TV and a retro refrigerator, but also specially added a little figure and a shark plushie to create that lazy and familiar summer afternoon vibe.
Sora's iconic light blonde twin-tails and black bows could absolutely not be overlooked. This time, I specifically enhanced the fluffiness of the hair strands to make the ends look more natural. For the outfit, I chose these Kasugano Sora pajamas—an off-white camisole dress with lace trim and black ribbon bows, aligning with the soft and fresh feel of the original work. The makeup for the entire look went for a clear, nude style, focusing on a slight redness at the outer corners of the eyes to amplify that gaze which naturally evokes a desire to protect yet remains crystal clear.
During the shoot, I completely entered the character's state. Whether it was sitting in front of the fridge opening the cooling compartment door, or spacing out while holding the big shark plushie, I repeatedly adjusted my center of gravity, wanting to present that effortless home atmosphere. This set of photos mainly highlights sunlight and a sense of naturalness, without deliberately forcing poses, which instead gives the frame a stronger sense of breathing room. I hope it recreates that quiet yet slightly stubborn feeling in the countryside cottage during that summer to bring out the perfect Japanese style girl portrait.
