[Kasugano Sora cosplay] Modified Cheongsam and White stockings Charm in Yosuga no Sora

This photoshoot features Kasugano Sora cosplay, set within the thematic ambiance of Yosuga no Sora. Compared to the traditional attire in the original character design, we opted for a modified Chinese cheongsam this time. Since Sora's signature traits are her twintails and White stockings, even when changing into Chinese-style attire, there is little discordance; instead, it creates a wonderful sense of fusion. The wig is styled into long straight twintails paired with black lace bow hairpins, offering great drape along with a touch of classical elegance. The outfit is made of white satin fabric with a cutout neckline and intricate black embroidery on the chest. Because I personally love White stockings, I specially paired them with white garter stockings and red-bottom high heels to visually elongate the leg lines.

The shoot took place in a Chinese style scene on a Chinese wooden daybed, surrounded by vintage carvings, red lattice windows, and plum blossom decorations that set a perfect atmosphere. The shooting process was physically demanding because the floor was solid hardwood and the wooden daybed was rather narrow. For example, in the last photo with extended legs while seated, it not only demanded soft, graceful leg lines, but also required careful attention to the light reflections off the high heels and stockings; the photographer lay on the floor for quite a while to find the right angle. The grey plush rabbit prop in the first three shots was wonderful to hold, helping adjust hand placement to avoid stiff poses. The shot with the folding fan aimed to highlight a touch of nobility alongside a playful expression, pairing twintails with the folding fan to harmonize with the classical mood of the environment. Lighting throughout the shoot paid close attention to the sheen of the White stockings, ensuring they looked neither dull nor overly blown-out white, preserving natural texture as much as possible.

Although hair and makeup styling took quite some time, seeing the overall results—especially the lying-down pose in photo 2 and the leg-focused pose in photo 4—made all the prior effort adjusting garter tightness and hair flow completely worthwhile. This mix of Chinese style and 2D cosplay actually places high demands on the coherence between props and setting, and I'm thrilled this creative attempt turned out so well.
