Today's photo set for my Honor of Kings Daji styling is finally out. This time I tried a blue-and-white outfit featuring rabbit ears and an oversized fluffy tail, and the overall style is extremely playful. Let's talk about the costume first: the material of this outfit has a gorgeous polarized shimmer under the sunlight. The blue pleated skirt hem combined with white multi-layered lace trims creates rich layering when walking. The bunny tail on the back is super fluffy; to make it look more three-dimensional and full, a special support structure was built inside, and posing with a slight sideways turn showcases it wonderfully. The blue-and-white striped over-the-knee Stockings visually make the legs look straight, paired with white chunky-heeled Mary Jane shoes, which not only fit the character's cute setup but also feel steady enough when walking.
In terms of makeup, to match the blonde hair and blue circle lenses, the eye makeup emphasized curliness in the eyelashes and blending at the outer corners of the eyes, and aegyo-sal highlighting was also applied to get as close as possible to the cuteness of a 2D anime setting. The wig had its hair ends trimmed with slightly curled twin-tails, and the rabbit ears on top of the head were fixed with a headband; slightly adjusting the angle makes the face look smaller.
This shoot was chosen on an outdoor wooden boardwalk with tree reflections on the water's surface, making the background very clear and transparent. Using the A7C2 paired with the 28-75 G2 lens, the performance in adequate lighting conditions was phenomenal. A wide aperture blurred the background, concentrating the visual focus entirely on the subject. When shooting the first photo, I knelt half-crouched sideways with my back to the lens, hands performing a grabbing motion; this angle not only fully reveals the huge plush tail but also wonderfully displays the leg lines and the tension of the striped Stockings.
Actually, when shooting such energetic characters, movement amplitude can be slightly larger. For example, when bending over and reaching out, the back line is relaxed, and looking at the lens or the water's surface both work; for the shot with one hand raised, body center of gravity needs to be steady, and the skirt's spread matches the action just right. With sunlight hitting the body, the edges of the white tail under backlight produce a fuzzy halo, which looks exceptionally stunning.
The overall feel of the photo set is extremely light and airy, and the blue-and-white color scheme looks refreshing under natural light. Whether it's the costume details or the overall atmosphere, I am thoroughly satisfied.
