Standing upon the reflective mirrored floor, framed by purple drapes and an expanse of faux cherry blossoms arranged by Chenxing Photography Studio. To capture the weightless, flowing elegance of this Divine Steed: Traversing Thousand Peaks outfit, I deliberately designed several jumping moves and single-leg balance stances. This Traditional Chinese style costume features numerous layers: a white base combined with cyan-blue linings and black shorts creates an airy visual aesthetic, though putting it on is remarkably time-consuming. In particular, the metallic armor along the arms and the waist ornaments required Yu Chen to fasten them one by one—any loose piece would instantly fly off during action takes. Whenever I performed a flying kick, the waist pendants would easily tangle together and disrupt the crispness of the move, so after every take, Yu Chen had to rush over immediately to tidy up my sash and skirt hem to keep the subsequent frame flawless.

On the styling front, the red-and-black ombre wig boasts generous volume and creates gorgeous sweeping arcs when whipped around, though its biggest hassle is tangling easily; after each spear flourish, I had to casually untangle the hair tips from the weapon shaft. The silver forehead pendant needed to retain crisp three-dimensional depth under harsh lighting, so the eye makeup intentionally utilized reddish-toned blending to echo the overarching palette. The spear prop carried noticeable weight, and holding poses for extended periods undeniably made my arms ache. To unleash the full tension of a fierce Battle girl, I tweaked the grip position multiple times—from single-hand thrusts to two-handed horizontal blocks—striving to present optimal visual impact from every angle.

The most punishing element of this shoot was undoubtedly the mirrored floor. Simply standing on it in silver high heels was slippery enough, let alone executing flying kicks and spin-thrusts; my core had to stay locked constantly to avoid falling. To maintain single-leg stability, I even secretly attached anti-slip pads to the soles, which were completely undetectable in frame. For direct close-ups, I had to steady my center of gravity while keeping my gaze fierce, all while controlling the spear's angle so the silver spearhead stayed fully within the frame. Behind the camera, Yu Chen provided fantastic emotional guidance, prompting me to envision confronting formidable foes head-on with decisive hand power. Because the cape and skirt train are very long, we had to coordinate with blowers to adjust wind directions so the fabric billowed organically—demanding seamless chemistry between photographer and cosplayer. Whenever a gust went off-course, we reset our angles and started all over again.

Shooting continued from afternoon straight into the evening; once the Japanese-style paper lanterns lit up across the studio, reflecting off the mirrored ground, the depth of light and shadow deepened dramatically. Although repeated leaping and crouching left my knees somewhat sore, seeing those frozen moments in the finished photos made every bit of stamina expenditure entirely worth it. The overarching red, white, and purple palette gained an elevated visual punch with post-processing pink-purple lighting effects. The action design for this Divine Steed look was also a practical exploration in translating the character's agile in-game footwork into reality. From initial spot-lighting tests to seamless dynamic action captures, the entire team worked tirelessly, and the final quality makes this creative endeavor feel like a complete triumph.
