Today, I put on this long straight wig featuring gradient hair shifting from pale green to white, paired with a white sailor blouse sporting a dark grey collar, pinned at the chest with a soft cyan-green plaid ribbon bow and a metallic leaf brooch, alongside a grey-and-yellow pleated plaid skirt on the bottom. Since I'd be walking and interacting throughout the venue, I deliberately chose a White thigh-highs outfit with white tights, keeping things comfortable when crouching or striking poses. The crisp structure of this outfit suited the mall's bright, clean ambient lighting wonderfully.
Arriving at the 5Lab Central Area on No. 5 Haidian Street, the bustling energy exceeded my expectations. Starting from the morning outdoor plaza, the opening ceremonies were lively, with band performances and a lion dance parade setting an exhilarating mood. Stepping inside, the ACG density on level LG2 was remarkably high; several themed pop-ups were hosted here, featuring thoughtfully decorated exclusive photo spots where many fellow fans were posing with character acrylic stands. With phone in hand, I joined the member registration lucky draw, and also swung by the LG1 atrium to watch the fun fitness challenge, where quite a line had gathered.
Beyond the pop-ups, the merchandise stores throughout the mall were well worth browsing leisurely. I spent quite a while in front of the merch shelves, where plushies and blind boxes were neatly arrayed across a rich variety of series. In the afternoon, I even joined a fun tic-tac-toe game, posing on the floor with a large blue cross prop; both the staff and passersby were incredibly warm, playing three rounds together and earning me an exclusive event commemorative stamp. Throughout the afternoon, I not only toured the shops, but also checked out several nearby dining spots—making it a perfect spot to gather with friends on weekends for exhibits, board games, and dining all in one go.
For someone who regularly enjoys cosplay, experiencing such a rich community atmosphere right inside a shopping mall without trekking to a distant anime convention is genuinely delightful. The lighting setups and backdrop installations were fantastic for capturing clean shots, and both staff members and regular shoppers showed wonderful acceptance toward dressed-up cosplayers. Circling through the venue, I not only snagged prizes from the stamp rally draw, but also discovered newly opened designer toy stores, making for a rich experience. Today's offline check-in tour was thoroughly fulfilling, and it was great seeing so many imaginative interactive installations.
