[Firefly Cosplay] Honkai: Star Rail Spring Missive — Heading to the Amphoreus-themed HSR-Only Convention

This Spring Missive Firefly outfit at the HSR-only convention was ultimately recorded in this relaxed, everyday state. Choosing the Spring Missive look for the HSR-only event was because, compared to her battle outfit, it has a closer-to-daily-life, lazy yet exquisite side.

A bit of extra care was put into processing the layers of the forehead and bangs on the white-haired Firefly wig. Paired with light purple contact lenses and subtly shimmering glitter under-eye makeup, it softened Firefly's gentle yet somewhat cool demeanor into reality. The gem badge in the middle of the sailor bow knot and the metal decorations on the collar were the highlights of the entire outfit; to keep them flat and wrinkle-free, I specifically ironed them again the night before the convention.

On the day of the convention, I was running on a high-intensity schedule. The HSR-only venue was packed with fellow fans, and I spent almost the entire time exchanging thoughts and freebies with various Trailblazers, with my phone and camera never stopping. Though completely exhausted, spending a full day immersed in the Amphoreus-themed atmosphere filled all that fatigue with a deep sense of accomplishment.

I took this full-body photo facing the glass door on the subway, holding a light green plastic suitcase at the time, which fit that casual grab-and-go vibe of daily travel perfectly. The white knit cardigan had a lovely drape, and the pleated plaid skirt paired with a White thigh-highs outfit and loafers cast a very soft silhouette under the warm station lights. The white over-the-knee socks were a major highlight in this look—they fit the delicate softness of the character design while offering practical wearability. Running around all day in convention halls and subways, they never slipped down or pinched skin, and the breathable material choice was very friendly for long hours of activity.

The selfie inside the car captured my state on the trip back. Although I had worn the wig and headband all day, the styling held up well after several touch-ups, and the seatbelt pressing against the white cardigan surprisingly added a grounded, lived-in feel to the photo. Personally, I really enjoy blending anime-style looks into real-world life settings. Anime conventions aren't just studio shoots and photographers' polished edits; those backward glances on the road, in subway stations, and inside train cars often carry far more warmth in memory.

The overall Spring Missive styling chose a color palette of white, gray, and light teal-green, paired with clear, translucent makeup. It isn't overly flashy, yet carries a subtle, delicate gentleness. Although I didn't deliberately seek dramatic scene tension at this HSR-only event, these fragmented photos actually captured the quiet personality inherent to her character style even better.

Looking back on this day, from getting up early in the morning to wrapping up late at night in exhaustion, the cumbersome makeup removal and wig care were headache-inducing, but every moment I was recognized as Firefly under convention flashlights made all the preparation feel worthwhile. To me, the meaning of cosplay lies not only in recreation, but in bringing the character into real life to experience another possibility.
