Regarding the shoot and styling for this Theresa Cosplay outfit, the primary goal was to capture her serene and gentle side. The outdoor location was chosen on this vibrant grassy lawn surrounded by weeping willow branches, creating an overall atmosphere that perfectly aligned with the natural feel we wanted to convey. In terms of costume, the classic black-and-white color blocking was used, with fabrics featuring a subtle shimmer to recreate the leather jacket and white skirt structure. The top features a high-neck dark gray and black spliced design with leather-like stiffness to maintain the crisp collar. The white patchwork on the sleeves, accented by streamlined black piping, boasts clean and neat tailoring. The skirt hem is made of lightweight white fabric that combines drape and airiness, which, paired with the black side ribbons, presents a natural dynamic beauty when moving on camera.
For the wig, I selected a soft pale pink with airy bangs and a single side braid, using a gradient dye transitioning smoothly from light white to pink. The two horns on top of the head are the highlight, painted in a red-and-green gradient and paired with black ribbon ties; this combination of texture and color effectively enhances the character's distinct recognition. The makeup prioritized clarity and translucency, deliberately blending pink-toned eyeshadow so that, in synergy with the eye makeup, it conveyed a slightly melancholic yet resolute demeanor.
For props, a large bouquet of white daisies served as the finishing touch. The bouquet shouldn't be overly cluttered; selecting white echoed the vast green backdrop while brightening the entire image's color tone. In full-body shots, the long black prop ribbon on the skirt's side also established a great visual balance with the worn accessories.
During the actual shoot, to showcase the upper and lower layering of this outfit, we captured both half-body close-ups and full-body angles. Full-body shots emphasized the drape of the white long skirt and the dynamic flow of the side ribbons. Combined with the cohesive upper-body design and the White thigh-highs outfit paired with black ankle boots on the legs, the overall styling was not only complete but also visually elongated the silhouette. The contrast between the black boots and the White thigh-highs outfit created a smooth gradient between light and dark under bright outdoor light, making the leg lines appear more slender. The layered styling of the wig was handled well, preventing the wig cap from showing even during wide-angle turns.
The lighting on the day of the shoot was exceptionally soft; we intentionally chose around 3:00 PM when sunlight filtered through the willow branches onto the subject. Paired with a wide-aperture lens, the background of green grass and branches was beautifully blurred, making the character stand out vividly in this Outdoor photography session. When portraying a character that emphasizes emotional expression, relaxed eyes and body language are paramount. Theresa inherently carries a calm yet resolute strength, and in portraying this Anime girl, I strove to convey that essence through gestures like glancing down at the flowers or gazing serenely ahead. The flowers in hand served not only as decoration but also eased posing stiffness. Looking at the entire shoot, from costume texture to set staging, the final photos faithfully captured the crisp, clean, and translucent style we envisioned for Arknights.
