This set of Genshin Impact Danica's costume has a very rich sense of layering. From the moment I received the clothes, it took quite a bit of time to study the wearing order of each component. The main body of the top is a white bustier structure with silver textures on the surface and a blue diamond-shaped gemstone; this part requires a great fit to showcase the lines. The shoulders adopt a black puff sleeve design, while the arms feature translucent black mesh-patterned sleeve covers, paired with white gloves featuring red straps, providing a great sense of visual extension when making movements.
The skirt hem structure of the lower body is the most complex part of the entire outfit. The inner layer is a blue-and-white short pleated skirt, and the outer layer is spliced with a long black back hem, which sways accordingly when walking. Hanging on the side of the skirt is a silver anchor-like metallic textured ornament. This accessory is not lightweight; when standing, it requires hand support or using waist strength to maintain the balance of the clothes and prevent the skirt from being pulled sideways.
The hairstyle is a black blunt-bangs bob, with bright blue highlights dyed at the ends. The hair ornament on top of the head is a white ruffled piece with red accents. To prevent it from loosening during the shoot, I fixed it at multiple points with bobby pins. In terms of makeup, to match the character's temperament, I wore bright blue contact lenses, deepened the outer corners of the eyes in the eye makeup, and used red accents. Combined with a slightly reddish lip color, it creates a relatively strong contrast in front of the lens.
This shoot chose a pure white studio scene, and the highly reflective mirrored floor was the biggest difficulty of this shoot. The mirror clearly reflects all the settings and character actions. To avoid a cluttered frame, I intentionally controlled the position of my center of gravity and the way the skirt spread when standing and sitting down. On the left, a white arched flower stand and roses were arranged, and on the right was a round table covered with a white cloth, holding a tray and candles; these props prevent the frame from looking too empty.
To showcase the leg lines, it was paired with opaque white pantyhose featuring grey geometric patterns printed on the thighs, and black pointy-toe high heels with red trim along the edges of the soles. When shooting sitting poses, I deliberately adjusted the angle of my crossed legs to let the inner blue skirt hem fall naturally, while showcasing the texture of the stockings and the leg proportions. In terms of lighting, because the outfit has a large area of white and highly reflective silver components, the intensity of the main light was lowered during lighting setup, using reflectors to supplement shadow details to ensure the clothing's texture isn't lost due to overexposure. The black, white, and blue color scheme of the entire styling is very clear against the pure white background. Throughout the shooting process, I continuously adjusted my poses, hoping to present the costume's features and the character's state exceptionally well.
