[Denia Cosplay] Wuthering Waves' first character, high-temperature night outdoor shoot record

Denia is the first character I've cosplayed from Wuthering Waves. As a veteran anime fan, I chose her this time to be my cosplay debut under this gaming IP.
Shanghai's weather last week was practically testing human willpower; the forecast said 30 degrees, but the perceived temperature felt far beyond that. Considering the scorching daytime heat, we deliberately arranged the shoot for dusk and evening, squeezing out just one hour of actual shooting time. Even with just this short hour, the heavy wig and multi-layered dress still made me unbearably hot, and sweat ruined my base makeup several times, requiring continuous touch-ups in between. Precisely because of this, this set of photos feels exceptionally precious, and I really can't wait for autumn when I must do intense night outdoor shoots!
I put a tremendous amount of thought into this makeup and styling. The wig was chosen in a pink-to-blue gradient style, with the blue at the tips echoing the costume. The high hair bun on top and the side curls were both set, and to add a gorgeous feel, we adorned the hair with a large number of pearls, blue-and-white star hair ornaments, and black bow ribbons. The most eye-catching part should be the circular hair ornament on the front-right side featuring a gold and blue crescent pattern; that's my proudest creation, which took quite a lot of effort to make.
For the eye makeup, to match the character's temperament, bright blue colored contacts were used, and pink and red were extensively blended around the eye area, creating a visual effect with a sense of fragmentation and mystery.
In terms of clothing, it's a sleeveless dress dominated by dark blue. The large white bow and golden badge on the chest are the visual center of the entire styling, while the golden chain below adds to the overall layering. It is paired with dark blue translucent long gloves on the hands, featuring light-colored line patterns on the surface, giving a texture intertwined with starry skies and nets. I also specially wrapped a circle of black paper-doll chain pattern decoration around my upper right arm. Some dark blue star-shaped patterns were also painted on the left collarbone and chest.
Regarding the choice of shooting locations, we utilized a circular plant window frame, bushes draped with LED light strings at night, and buildings and stone walls illuminated by warm yellow lights under the night view. The daytime greenery background in picture one was actually only shot for a few frames because the light disappeared very quickly, so we mainly relied on artificial light sources for fill lighting afterwards, utilizing the contrast between cool and warm tones to highlight the character's facial contours and clothing details.
From early preparation to actual shooting, a lot of dedication was poured into this character. Although the weather was hot and the process somewhat tough, the moment I saw the finished photos, all the fatigue vanished completely. I hope Kuro doesn't forget the character Denia; she is truly charming. When autumn arrives and temperatures drop, I must arrange a few more outdoor shoots.
