[Aemeath Cosplay] Wuthering Waves Summer Concept Swimsuit Cosplay: Refreshing Water Park Photoshoot Record

Bringing you this summer Swimsuit cosplay concept set of Aemeath from Wuthering Waves shot at the Hengdian Water park! From initial preparations to the final wrap, the entire process was full of challenges, but the resulting photos exceeded all expectations. Because it was an original concept design, while preserving the character's signature long pink hair and head ornaments, I leaned toward a styling choice tailored for a summer waterside setting. The top is a semi-sheer white cropped cover-up layered over a pink ruffled bandeau, paired with light blue frayed denim shorts and accented by crisscrossing delicate chains across the midriff to add visual dimension. Styling the hair was the most time-consuming step: to achieve that fluffy pink texture, on top of the basic styling, long semi-sheer ribbons had to be fastened one by one to the hair ends so they would flutter gracefully in the waterside breeze. For makeup, I accentuated the pink eyeshadow and blush, placing star- and heart-shaped glitter decals under my eyes; paired with a dewy, glossy lip tint, my skin looked remarkably luminous and translucent under the pool's glistening highlights.

On the day of the shoot, the outdoor temperature was scorching under direct sunlight, but fortunately, the Sony A7R6 paired with the 28-70mm GM lens delivered very stable autofocus speed and image quality for Sony portrait photography. The addition of splashing water, fountains, and slides filled the frames with summer vitality. Holding a pink water gun and a swim ring, walking barefoot on the non-slip mats or splashing in the water in clear high-heeled sandals, the droplets splashing onto the camera lens actually heightened the unique on-site realism. Sony's straight-out-of-camera colors handled this high-saturation outdoor scene delightfully—the woven palette of pink and blue could practically be shared directly without heavy post-processing color grading. The entire shoot was demanding, with clothes getting drenched and drying repeatedly, but seeing the sparkling, shimmering textures of the water in the final photos made every effort worthwhile. The location choice was exceptional, with amusement park rides and the blue sky with white clouds forming a natural backdrop. The hardest part of shooting in the water was maintaining balance and controlling splashes, all while constantly safeguarding the equipment from water damage. Though exhausting, the cool mist against the face and the warmth of the sun made this creative endeavor truly delightful. I hope everyone can feel this refreshing summer breeze!
