For this classroom photoshoot themed around the longed-for date day, I chose Unicorn, a gentle and endearing character from Azur Lane. While preparing the outfit, I found that this school style cosplay sailor uniform fits her setting perfectly—the white sweater collar with an exquisite anchor emblem, the dark pleated skirt hem, paired with a soft and flowing pink necktie, completely bringing out the fresh feel unique to the port city girls.

A lot of thought also went into the selection and styling of the wig. The purple-blue gradient hair color is not only Unicorn's trademark but also the soul of the entire look. To enhance the everyday uniform feel, I intentionally left an ahoge on top, and the long side twin-tails were casually tied with matching thick hair ties. This slightly fluffy and messy texture perfectly fits her clumsy yet cute daily personality.

For the eye makeup, I chose a large area of pink tones combined with the originally magenta colored contacts, striving to present a gaze before the camera that is both spirited and gentle as water. The pairing of white tights makes the overall look appear exceptionally refreshing among the classroom desks and chairs; although it easily gets dirty with large movements, I held through perfectly for the final visual effect.

Restoring the details of the scene is also crucial. This dark green blackboard and wood-grain paneling practically come with a built-in campus filter. Casual drawings of cute cat heads, stars, and bones with white chalk immediately brought the space to life. This shoot included manga magazines and small leather shoes as props; though these small items seem simple, they allow Unicorn's character to generate an authentic sense of "lived-in reality" in the classroom rather than just stiff posing. For instance, the posture of leaning over to read a book, or the gaze while resting on the desk waiting for someone to finish class, carry a rich narrative story.

The entire process was actually very relaxing. The photographer let me explore on my own what actions Unicorn would make in this environment, such as tilting my head to rest on my hand, or glancing back with a smile. Especially the last action of standing on one foot in front of the blackboard, which required maintaining balance while keeping a playfully inviting expression, took repeated adjustments to capture the most natural moment.

Actually, doing a cosplay every time, especially for such a slice-of-life character, feels more like experiencing a brief segment of their life. Putting on this outfit and staying in a classroom filled with a rich woody scent, I imagine that if Unicorn really existed, she would probably be a girl who dazes off at the blackboard and hides manga inside her desk. I hope what everyone sees is not just a photo, but an appreciation of that pure and gentle anticipation.
