[Bai Feng Cosplay] Azur Lane's Serene and Beautiful Japanese Style Still Frame

Bai Feng's styling possesses an intensely pure visual essence, where the black-and-white color contrast is minimalist yet splendid. For the shoot, I put on the iconic long, straight white wig. With the bird feather-shaped headpiece on the side paired with the black-and-white striped hair tie, fine-tuning the head styling alone took considerable effort—ensuring both the silky smoothness of the hair and the secure, natural placement of the hair accessories.

The outfit features an off-the-shoulder cut throughout. Although the temperature at the shooting location was not very high, I still chose lightweight and breathable fabric to recreate the character's cool yet soft visual texture. The black choker at the neck combines ingeniously with white lace elements, while the small geometric pendant dangling in the center serves as the visual focus of the upper body, nicely balancing the broad negative space of white across the chest. Meanwhile, the golden star-shaped metal embellishment on the chest adds an exquisite touch of luxury to this monochrome palette, preventing the overall ensemble from feeling overly plain.

For the lower half, I paired it with solid white tights. This opaque White tights cosplay actually tests leg lines and lighting balance severely; improper lighting can easily make the legs appear flat or heavy. Throughout the shoot, the photographer and I repeatedly adjusted my sitting posture—the angle of my crossed legs when seated sideways, and how the flared skirt transitioned naturally onto the white tights—all in search of the most elegant, relaxed body language. The black platform high-heeled sandals were also a standout finishing touch; the vibrant blue bow on the toe added a lively pop of color. Seen from high or low angles, these shoes and the overall lines of the feet were displayed with exceptional fluidity.

The shooting location was set in a traditional-style wooden room furnished with a low wooden table, black tea sets, a sprig of faux pink sakura blossoms, and warm yellow paper lanterns scattered around. I adore the contrast between the warm light sources and cool pale skin: the ambient light brought out rich textural depth in the wood grain and the red-and-black backdrop, while the key light on the subject accentuated the fair complexion and the silver-white hair, creating a truly narrative image.

My emotional state on that day was quite relaxed; without rigidly forcing complex poses, I simply leaned gently against the wooden steps. That sentiment of "wanting to keep you by my side forever" is conveyed far more through the gaze and overall posture. A relaxed ease touched with a hint of focus—whether holding the small black cup, casually slipping off one shoe, or playing with small trinkets nearby—these tiny nuances capture the character's lively soul much better than rigid standing poses.

During the shoot, because of the relatively confined setting, some strands of the wig inevitably brushed against the wooden boards and looked a bit frizzy. Fortunately, prompt brushing in post-prep and intense lighting kept the hair strands nicely voluminous. Though the entire shoot was exhausting, seeing the clash between black and white, cold and warm in the final photos—and seeing my personal interpretation of the character woven into the camera's perspective—made it all worthwhile. From close-up portraits and half-body seated poses to full-body compositions across various angles, every shot brought out Bai Feng's cool, noble, and slightly mysterious aura. Organizing these photos after the shoot felt like preserving a meaningful snapshot of my current creative state.
