Shooting Luna Skyline from Delta Force this time was a serious physical workout! To embody the authentic presence of an operative, I specifically prepared this patent-leather tactical suit. The black patent-leather jacket packs an intense visual punch, yet even in late autumn, executing various tactical maneuvers beneath a massive bridge worked up quite a sweat inside the stifling fabric. While the white form-fitting pants look stunning, they are extremely prone to getting dirty; performing crouching, kneeling, and aiming stances on dust-covered concrete required caution with every single move. The tactical gear setup was extensive: colorful tactical vials and glow sticks clipped across the chest, paired with a cat-eared beanie and tactical headset. Although I originally intended to portray a detached, cold-blooded marksman, the high-gloss patent leather reflected light so intensely that the photographer had to continuously hunt for angles to keep harsh specular highlights at bay.

For props, I prepared a modern tactical rifle alongside a futuristic compound bow. The rifle had great handling, feeling satisfyingly hefty with its mounted scope; the compound bow was even more intriguing, sporting a purple, white, and black finish that aligned flawlessly with the futuristic vibe of the ensemble. During the shoot, the weapons felt surprisingly heavy in hand, and holding them raised for extended takes made my arms ache, but maintaining rock-solid stability was essential to freeze the most immaculate frames. The gaze had to remain icy and the spine upright, successfully projecting that disciplined, intimidating aura characteristic of special operations personnel.

The location was set inside an abandoned concrete structure. Towering concrete pillars, dust-laden floors, and unfinished window frames formed a natural wasteland photography studio. Sunlight poured through elevated gaps, creating stark, chiseled chiaroscuro boundaries; grazing the black patent leather, it sparked razor-sharp specular gleams that dialed textural dimension up to eleven. Photographers 12 He Shejun and Xiao Lin are seasoned veterans; Xiao Lin, when capturing Shots 3 through 6, proved exceptionally gifted at freezing dynamic motion—such as the exact fractions of a second when I pivoted with the bow or dropped into a low crouch with the rifle. Leveraging the architectural contours, we explored diverse vantage points, including low-angle upward perspectives to amplify authoritative dominance, as well as wide apertures to dissolve the background and let the figure pop.

My personal favorite is the crouched pose aiming down the rifle sights. That posture demanded engaging the core tightly, balancing on the balls of the feet with the torso leaning subtly forward, channeling an unwavering gaze while simultaneously highlighting the leg contours shaped by the white pants. To prevent the cape from obscuring the rear tactical attachments, its draping angle had to be repeatedly reset. Furthermore, because the honeycomb weave on the white pants and the leg harness straps tended to shift during actual movement, gear had to be realigned after virtually every single shot. The process was endlessly meticulous, yet the moment I reviewed the finished selects, every hassle felt completely justified. This set captures not only the finer nuances of tactical gear, but also that taut, razor-sharp beauty unique to wasteland environments. The capable coldness exhibited in combat mode forms a compelling contrast against everyday fashion. The entire shoot was a stellar experience—from lighting to styling, everything aligned with our envisioned goal.
