[Exusiai Cosplay] Arknights Exusiai the New Covenant Tactical Style Outfit Outdoor Shoot

The location for this outdoor shoot was chosen in front of this white-and-gray Gothic building. When scouting the location earlier, I felt that these sharp classical lines combined with the black-and-white color scheme of this tactical style outfit would create a very strong visual contrast.

For the outfit arrangement, I chose a black jacket with white panels paired with a white miniskirt. The red drawstrings at the collar and waist serve as key visual highlights, which not only tighten the silhouette but also create a dynamic streamer effect when walking around. I really love the feeling of them dancing in the wind. The combination of over-the-knee white socks and black thick-soled Martin boots makes the lower body lines look sleeker, elongating overall body proportions when paired with the high-waisted skirt design.

Regarding props, this custom color-altered rifle accessory was a bit heavier than I expected when I got my hands on it, but the paint finish quality was spot-on. Especially when paired with the long rigid accessories on my back, the overall look gains much richer layering. To ensure the weapon-holding pose looked natural yet full of power during shooting, I intentionally experimented with several different center-of-gravity distributions in the composition.

The photographer tried many low-angle look-up shots and heavily tilted compositions this time. I originally thought such angles might make the framing look messy, but after seeing the final results, this exaggerated perspective actually allowed the tension of the long red streamers to be fully released. Set against the white building, the dark navy-black jacket and bright red wig formed an exceptionally high color saturation contrast.

In post-processing, we lowered the color temperature of the background to create a cooler atmospheric feel, allowing the warm tones at the core of the image—namely the hair color and red cords—to stand out completely. At the same time, we retained the texture details of the stone floor so that the overall color palette wouldn't look too thin.

This look took quite a long time to prepare from test makeup to the official outdoor shoot, especially regarding the attachment method of the halo and the organization of the straps, balancing aesthetics with mobility. The on-site shooting went smoothly; apart from the wind blowing the wig a bit messy, everything was within plan.

For lighting, the morning sunlight was quite harsh, so we deliberately adjusted our shooting angles, utilizing the building's shadow to obtain softer highlight transitions. Particularly for several single-leg standing poses, the demand for core strength and balance was actually quite high. Posing with a natural expression while holding the rifle was physically demanding, but the final result was extremely satisfying.

This gear found a great balance between weightiness and agility. Although it is a tactical style, because of the color block paneling and red-and-black accents, it doesn't feel overly dull. The combination of white thigh-highs and boots is also a prominent highlight in the overall styling, creating a sharp top-to-bottom visual harmony.

Compared to a previous casual outfit, this set feels more like integrating more practical styling ideas onto the character's base setting, allowing the wearer to feel the character's charm while having room for personal expression. This time, I also intentionally tried a few slightly off-balance tilted movements, which turned out quite interesting when combined with the camera angles.

The light gray-white walls of this building are very clean without cluttered background elements, perfectly highlighting the mechanical feel of the props and the vibrant hair color. Looking through the raw photos right after shooting, almost none of them needed heavy editing, which owes much to the camera angle control during the shoot. Lowering the angle makes the leg lines appear sleeker; white socks naturally have a visual expanding effect, which balances the lower body proportions when paired with the black boot cuffs.

Lastly, during this outdoor shoot, I especially loved the moments when the streamers intertwined in mid-air, which felt extremely atmospheric. The overall vibe is crisp and capable without feeling overly sweet, maintaining a balance between strong street style and techwear/functional aesthetics.
