Shooting this wasteland tactical style was an absolute test of physical stamina. Stepping into the abandoned, unfinished building clad in full gear—surrounded by concrete dust and rubble—instantly pulled me into a world steeped in gunsmoke. I genuinely love all the fine details of this kit. The black beret paired with goggles resting above the brim shields against glare while evoking the sharp, capable readiness of a special operations operative. The pairing of the army-green short-sleeve shirt with the tactical vest cinches the chest and waist with functional straps, and alongside the dark camouflage cargo pants and heavy-duty tactical boots, it maintains a crisp, commanding presence whether standing tall or sitting straight on the floor. The neon green wristband provides a vibrant accent, breaking the monotony of the all-dark palette. I also specifically donned fingerless tactical gloves and knee pads—subtle touches essential for conveying an 'always ready for action' state.

To complement this gear, I poured plenty of care into hair and makeup as well. Even with the beret on, the wig required meticulous styling, braided into plaits draping along my side to preserve a touch of the character's distinct identity amidst the ruggedness. In an abandoned building rife with gusty winds and kicked-up dust, keeping makeup pristine and the wig in place was a genuine challenge. Choosing an unfinished construction site meant light control was the hardest obstacle. Harsh sunlight poured through floor gaps and chain-link fences, casting sharp, unforgiving shadows—some spots were pitch-black while others were blindingly bright. To capture these light-and-shadow dynamics, photographer @谣葉yyy had me cycle through numerous demanding poses. For instance, sitting on the dusty concrete cradling a specially prepared bunch of little daisies created a stark visual contrast between floral delicacy and cold firearms against rough stone. This collision of hardcore grit and softness lent the frame an unmistakable narrative depth.

Then there's the low-angle shot looking up from beneath the staircase, framed entirely by the raw geometric architecture of the building. The prop rifle was genuinely hefty; holding it with effortless composure required engaging my arm muscles continuously, carefully nestling the buttstock firmly against my shoulder. The upward perspective gave the posture an imposing, upright stance, with the boot planted firmly on the step's edge. That said, wearing full tactical gear outdoors was undeniably sweltering, and shifting between poses caused pieces of gear to clatter together. By the end of the shoot, I was coated in dust with mud-caked boots. Yet seeing that fierce, cool-headed atmosphere captured in the final shots made every ounce of effort completely worthwhile. It wasn't merely cosplaying a character—it felt like living out an authentic, hardcore tactical mission, where every adjustment to my weapon stance was a step closer to embodying that world.
