[Hyacinthia Vintage Cake Style Lolita Custom Design] Healing Outfit Coordination in Honkai: Star Rail

This time, I went directly location shooting wearing this Lolita dress based on a custom design re-creation of the character Hyacinthia from Honkai: Star Rail. Transforming the original in-game character image—which leans toward combat or elegance—into a vintage cake style Lolita outfit was an attempt that required careful balancing of colors and materials. The main color chosen for the dress body was a deep blue-teal. Although this color can easily look visually heavy, adding a generous amount of white semi-transparent lace at the neckline, cuffs, and skirt hem softened the visual weight. Combined with a neat row of pearl beads and pink bow accents on the chest, the entire dress instantly displays the delicacy of a display in a vintage dessert window.

Handling the wig was also a highlight of this look. Pink is a very iconic element of Hyacinthia. To fit the fluffy yet resilient feel of a vintage cake style, the wig was styled into large curls spreading to both sides with a subtle outward flip. The blue-teal gradient at the hair ends wasn't dyed randomly; it was specifically matched to the dress's blue-teal base to ensure a wrapping logic in color transition from top to bottom. The small white pom-pom hair accessory on top of the head is compact and lively, adding a light, delicate texture to the sweet overall look. As for makeup, I enhanced the depth around the eyes and paired it with blue contact lenses matching the pupil tone, allowing my gaze to capture a slightly mysterious focus under high-angle or eye-level camera lenses.

The lighting on the day of the shoot was perfect for outdoor work. Sitting under a parasol, the overhead light was evenly filtered through the fabric, making my skin tone look exceptionally soft and natural. This preserved an authentic texture without needing complex reflectors or speedlights. I chose to place my hand naturally across my chest in the frame—partly to make myself look more approachable and relaxed, and partly to showcase the layers of lace folds at the collar and chest. The spread-out position of the voluminous skirt contacting the ground also made the overall composition look more stable from top to bottom, avoiding a top-heavy look.

Walking down the street or attending anime conventions like this, passersby are no longer surprised by such outfits. More people might be curious whether the pearls on the dress are glued or sewn on, or what material the wig is made of.
