[Furina cosplay] Genshin Impact: Furina's Birthday Present

Today, the birthday convention photos for Furina are finally retouched! This outfit features an immense amount of detail, especially the golden trim at the collar and the blue-green gemstone centerpiece on the chest. To ensure they caught strong convention lighting with the crispest metallic highlights, I carefully polished every metal accent with a soft cloth before the shoot. The wig was custom-crafted: achieving that natural aqua-blue gradient toward the ends took real effort from the stylist, and the bangs were thoroughly sculpted with hairspray so that even while walking around the bustling hall, they held that airy, multi-layered volume and kept crisp edges on camera.

We deliberately chose this itasha exhibition area for our shoot; the sweeping blue tones and water motifs felt tailor-made for Furina. For the shots seated on the car's front hood, the glossy automotive paint was surprisingly slick—I spent the entire time engaging my core muscles to maintain an elegant posture and poised silhouette while managing the drape of the skirt. Seeing the finished shots made every bit of effort worth it. The pastel-blue water gun was an impromptu prop choice on set, but harmonizing with the color scheme instantly enlivened the frame and made interactive poses feel delightfully immersive.

Because the top is a cropped, midriff-baring design, I adjusted my diet and focused on core exercises in the days leading up to the shoot to keep my abdominal lines toned on camera. The metallic thigh rings and sheer navy leg sleeves also required extensive adjustments, testing elasticity repeatedly to ensure they hugged the leg contours smoothly without pinching unappealing indents. Resting bare feet against the sleek, polished car body felt quite surreal, and I took great care not to leave smudges during poses. For makeup, I defined the eye contours to complement the blue-green contact lenses, giving the gaze a crystal-clear luminescence. Ambient lighting was dominated by cool-blue tones, so we added soft fill lighting to the face, while post-processing focused on refining skin tones, white balance, and lifting highlights for a luminous complexion and enhanced water-ripple textures in the background. The blue ribbons and waist ties draped with graceful flow, allowing us to capture candid dynamic motion as I walked. Presenting this photo set as a birthday tribute fills me with immense satisfaction.
