Sharing this set of Genshin Impact Citlali cosplay (Citlali cosplay) photos. The shooting location was set beside the floor-to-ceiling windows of a high-rise hotel, where the blurred city night scene in the background, combined with carefully arranged warm floor lamps indoors, created a striking contrast between warm and cool tones for this Night portrait. Against the purple, dark blue, and monochrome palette of the costume, this play of light and shadow effectively made the subject stand out.
Regarding pre-shoot preparations, to faithfully capture the layered depth of the character's long purple wig, it had to be partitioned section by section to weave the braids, and securing that black geometric headpiece on top took considerable time. In terms of makeup, the focus lay on the blue geometric marking on the left cheek paired with vibrant blue colored contacts; using a fine liner brush to trace the patterns allowed me to accurately recreate that cool, deep gaze. The costume has abundant accessory details: a geometric metal choker around the neck, crisscrossed sleeve straps and buckles on the arms, and a large expanse of purplish-red gradient fabric at the waist—all steps I practiced thoroughly during fittings.
The most captivating part of this styling is undoubtedly the leg Strappy outfit design. The black leather straps wrap crisscrossed all the way down to the ankles, harmonizing flawlessly with the high-slit skirt. To achieve the tightest visual effect during shooting, the straps had to be pulled rather firmly; while standing for long periods left indentations, the final photos made it completely worthwhile. The black platform sandals seamlessly connected with the strappy leg lines, and under the interplay of warm lamplight and cool ambient glow, the skin's natural sheen was beautifully highlighted.
During the shoot, the photographer deliberately controlled the reflector angles to prevent overhead lights from hitting the face flatly, instead using light gradients to sculpt graceful thigh and calf contours in this Cosplay photography project. The small wooden bucket prop was also very photogenic, carrying a rustic, grounded presence in hand. To embody the character's disposition, I set aside my habitual expressions, conveying a hint of aloof detachment and distant vacancy in my gaze, using languid sitting and casual leaning postures to express her commanding presence. For instance, sitting sideways on the window ledge, letting the city's faint glow and the indoor shadows envelop the figure instantly brought out that cold, glamorous mystery. Looking over these finished photos, knowing that every stacked detail yielded great feedback through the lens feels truly rewarding.
