[Ganyu Cosplay & Keqing cosplay] Ganyu and Keqing on Qingfeng Bridge: Genshin Impact Partners in a Traditional Garden

Shooting this duo outdoor photoshoot set of Ganyu and Keqing from Genshin Impact required much more preparation in terms of location scouting and outfit coordination compared to usual solo shoots. The carved stone guardrails and dense greenery behind Qingfeng Bridge, paired with the red lanterns hanging from tree branches, naturally formed a frame imbued with classic Chinese charm—perfect for the blend of everyday life and traditional style we envisioned.

For this Ganyu Cosplay and Keqing cosplay, a lot of effort went into wig styling. Since we were shooting outdoors, even a gentle breeze could mess up hair strands without strong winds. I used extra-firm hairspray and ultra-thin steel bobby pins to reinforce the roots in three layers, especially for Keqing's iconic cat-ear buns on top and Ganyu's long side tails, ensuring three-dimensional curves that wouldn't look frizzy. As for makeup, we specially adjusted the brightness of the foundation so that two characters with different color tones could blend naturally without looking jarring when sharing the frame.

We also made deliberate choices regarding costume fabrics. The main body of our outfits utilized subtle jacquard fabrics and slightly luminous satin materials. These fabrics retain detailed reflections under outdoor scattered light without overexposing like pure chiffon or looking messy like high-gloss leather. To fit hand curves and allow flexible posing, the gloves underwent two pattern revisions prior; when stretching out an arm or leaning against the stone railing during the shoot, the glove creases finally presented a natural, snug fit.

We didn't deliberately rehearse rigid poses during the shoot. In the first picture, where I reach out my hand to catch the skylight filtering through the leaves above while Ah Qing turns to look at me, these were actually candid moments captured while communicating our standing positions. This kind of relaxed, playful interaction brings out the tacit bond between partners far better than stiff, fixed poses. In the second picture, leaning against the railing looking straight at the camera, we didn't add too many props—we simply wanted to present a relaxed, everyday travel feel through gazes and postures.

For post-processing, I preserved the gray-green tones of the greenery and stone steps from the original RAW photos without cranking up colors unnaturally, striving to keep the light and shadow of the whole scene comfortable. After all, when anime characters enter real-world settings, the most important thing is balancing color differences between artificial makeup/hair and real environments; over-grading easily ruins the photo's original texture. In the end, the final visual quality matched our initial vision perfectly, and I hope to convey this relaxed atmosphere of strolling through a park in exquisite attire to everyone who sees this set.
