The concept for this Komeiji Koishi look was finalized early in the year, but it wasn't until recently that we found the ideal venue and lighting for the shoot. The garment design is exceptionally rich: the core consists of a voluminous mustard-yellow blouse featuring dramatic puff sleeves and a ruffled black lace collar; suspended from the chest by slender navy cords is the iconic glowing purple eye prop, finished below with a purple heart-shaped pendant. The tiered skirt hem boasts immense volume, with an outer layer of cascading ruffles alternating between black and peacock blue—edged with delicate yellow piping on the black trims—revealing a crisp white underskirt lining for substantial weight and presence.

For the wig, I selected wavy, pale-blue short hair trimmed into textured, airy layers; once topped with the wide-brimmed black lace bonnet, the entire styling achieved a remarkably high level of polish. To balance the pale wig, the eye makeup utilized an earthy base with accentuated lashes, while a reddish lip tone was chosen to ensure a healthy, vibrant flush on camera. The shooting venue was a greenhouse garden blanketed in moss, ferns, and roses; sunlight filtered from above, which, combined with bokeh flares in post-processing, infused the final images with a dreamy, fairy-tale quality.

Because the skirt hem is so voluminous, sitting down required immense care to arrange the folds and avoid crushing them out of shape. To capture the fine details of the Black stockings and Mary Janes, I specifically adjusted my seated posture—crossing my legs naturally to neatly reveal the sheer stocking texture and shoe buckles. The purple prop at my chest is actually an illuminated light, requiring brightness adjustments during shooting to prevent blown-out glare or reflections. Since the outfit features heavy, saturated tones, pairing it against a bright green botanical backdrop created sharp chromatic contrast, allowing the subject to stand out prominently.

Wearing such voluminous dresses always demands considerable time for changing and moving around—especially the bonnet, which slipped easily with slight downward tilts and needed frequent resetting. Furthermore, wearing Black stockings with patent leather Mary Janes meant walking through the garden easily picked up soil, so wiping down the shoes between takes was a constant routine. Although the process was intricate and tedious, presenting the lavish beauty of this attire before the lens and conveying the unique presence of Komeiji Koishi from Touhou Project brought immense fulfillment as a cosplayer. Great care was poured into prop nuances and garment layering, and I truly hope everyone enjoys this finished set.
