This time, I prepared the look for Halford from Azur Lane. In terms of details, I paid special attention to the texture and plush quality of the headpiece, pairing it with a pink velvet top in hopes of restoring Halford's unique sweetness and vitality to the maximum extent. For the white thigh-highs section, I used a style adorned with bowknots, which offers more visual richness than solid colors and fits the Anime cosplay girl aesthetic perfectly.
The shooting venue for this session was indoors, using a white plush carpet, soft pillows, and that iconic yellow chick plush toy to create a warm, soft home atmosphere. Regarding the lighting, we used a softbox to simulate natural window light, which makes the skin texture look very translucent while reducing harsh shadows, keeping the tone of the entire frame gentle.
Actually, as for the character Halford, her main trait is her seemingly lazy yet curiosity-filled personality. When posing, I intentionally adjusted my center of gravity, using a slightly relaxed sitting posture and lying posture to bring out this lazy vibe, while focusing my eyes on the lens to convey the character's playfulness through my gaze. For the makeup this time, we primarily emphasized the clarity of the eye makeup and the bright processing of the pupils; the pink under-eye makeup makes her look more nimble.
The texture and fluffiness of the White thigh-highs outfit are also key points of this photo set. I selected a high-elasticity style with a certain thickness, so it doesn't reflect light too intensely in front of the lens, but instead adds a layer of matte soft-focus effect. Paired with white detached sleeves and a black bowknot on the neck, it forms a wonderful black-white-pink color clash, making the overall color layers distinct.
The shooting process was actually quite fun. Facing so many plush toys made it very easy to get into character, just like decorating a warm resting area for Halford. Although this photo set mainly focuses on cuteness and a girlish vibe, we tried our best to keep the color tones clear and clean during post-processing, avoiding over-retouching, and preserving the skin's native texture and the clothing's material grain. This gives the work more breathing room and a sense of reality.
I hope the Commander will like this daily profile of Halford. The preparation work this time actually took a lot of time integrating the details of the costume, makeup, and props, but seeing the final photo results makes me feel everything was worth it.
